Corydalis Rhizoma is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) for regulating Qi and relieving pain in clinical practice, with remarkable efficacy. However, its pharmacodynamic substances are not yet fully understood and require further research. In this study, 24 compounds were isolated and identified from the aqueous extracts of vinegar-processed Corydalis Rhizoma using techniques such as macroporous adsorption resin column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography.

The preparation processes of iron-based organic framework(FeMOF) MIL-100(Fe) and MIL-101(Fe) with two different ligands were optimized and screened, and the optimized FeMOF was loaded with piperlongumine(PL) to enhance the biocompatibility and antitumor efficacy of PL. The MIL-100(Fe) and MIL-101(Fe) were prepared by solvent thermal method using the optimized reaction solvent. With particle size, polymer dispersity index(PDI), and yield as indexes, the optimal preparation processes of the two were obtained by using the definitive screening design(DSD) experiment and establishing a mathematical model, combined with the Derringer expectation function.

Lithium extraction from salt lake brine is still challenging due to the existence of similar elements, sodium. In the present work, polysulfone (PSF) microcapsules containing 1-phenylazo-2-naphthol (HS) and trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as extractants were successfully prepared by microfluidic technology for the separation of Li from brine with Li and Na. The morphology, composition, and structure of HS-TOPO-based microcapsules were characterized systematically.

Cardiovascular diseases pose a significant global health threat, and stents play a crucial role in managing these diseases. However, challenges exist with respect to the poor adhesion of stent coatings. Cardiac stents are often composed of titanium-nickel (TiNi) alloys as the metallic component and poly(-butyl methacrylate) (PBMA) as the coating.

Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) is widely used in various applications; however, its flammability limits its application in wire and cable industries. In this study, 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH570) was successfully grafted onto the surface of anhydrous magnesium carbonate (AMC) by alkali activation treatment. The KH570 modified AMC (AMC@KH570) was then introduced into the EVA matrix along with hexaphenoxycyclotriphosphazene (HPCTP) to assess their effects on the flame retardancy and mechanical properties of EVA composites.

In this study, magnesium hydroxide (MH) particles with distinct morphologies were obtained through direct precipitation and subsequent hydrothermal treatment with various magnesium salts. The synthesized products were systematically characterized and utilized for the removal of Pb(ii) ions from aqueous solutions. The adsorption process of Pb(ii) by two different MH structures, namely flower globular magnesium hydroxide (FGMH) and hexagonal plate magnesium hydroxide (HPMH), adhered to the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order model.

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) has been widely investigated and applied in photocatalysis, but it always suffers from unsatisfactory photocatalytic activity performance. In this study, a facile molten salt-assisted heat-treated g-CN binary eutectic KNO/KCl was successfully developed. Based on this assumption, the heat treatment temperature has been successfully lowered to 350 °C to modulate and optimize the carbon nitride structure.

In this study, we fabricated magnetic FeO@Mg(OH) composites through the seed deposition technique to achieve Cu(ii) ion removal from aqueous solutions. As indicated by the characterization results, three-dimensional flower-like spheres composed of external Mg(OH) were formed, with nano-FeO particles uniformly embedded in the "flower petals" of the spheres. The efficacy of FeO@Mg(OH)-3 in Cu(ii) ion removal was examined through batch experiments.

The leaf-like zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-L) is a promising porous nanomaterial that has attracted increasing attention as an ideal host material to encapsulate functional fluorescent nanoparticles for designing fluorescent sensors. However, owing to the large particle size, gravity readily facilitates the precipitation of the ZIF-L from the aqueous solution, and thus lead to imperfect experimental results. Herein, we report a simple and rapid synthetic method which uses the polyethyleneimine (PEI)-modified ZIF-L as a host to solve the precipitation problem and construct a dual-emitting system that combines its fluorescence with carbon dots (CDs).

Local flexibility in a metal-organic framework is intriguing for reconstructing a microenvironment to distinguish different guest molecules by emphasizing their differences. Herein, guest-adaptive flexibility is observed in a metal-organic framework for efficiently discriminating aromatic isomers. Microcrystal electron diffraction directly reveals that the anthracene rings can rotate around the single bond with the adsorption of guest molecules.
