Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death worldwide. Few studies have investigated the effects of mixed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) exposure on CVD prevalence. We aimed to evaluate the association between mixed PAHs exposure and CVD and determine the extent to which these links are mediated by inflammatory indices.

Ammonia oxidation, the first and rate-limiting step of nitrification, is a crucial step in nitrogen cycling. The distribution patterns of key ammonia oxidizers, including ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) and bacteria (AOB), and comammox (complete ammonia oxidation) Nitrospira, provide vital insights for nitrogen cycling in natural ecosystems. Currently, the distribution and contribution of AOA, AOB and comammox Nitrospira in freshwater ecosystems remain largely underexplored.

Objective: To evaluate the ability of non-contrast computed tomography based peri-hematoma and intra-hematoma radiomic features to predict the 90-day poor functional outcome for spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH) and to present an effective clinically relevant machine learning system to assist in prognosis prediction.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 691 patients diagnosed with sICH at two medical centers. Fifteen radiomic features from the intra- and peri-hematoma regions were extracted and selected to build six radiomics models.

In the realm of energy storage, flexible portable supercapacitors have been receiving increasing attention in the last few years. Nonetheless, the process of choosing appropriate flexible materials remains challenging. Herein, we successfully synthesized a flower-like MnCoO@FeCoNi-LDH/CC (MnCo@FCN/CC) hierarchically nanostructured electrode material by anchoring MnCoO (MnCo) on a flexible carbon cloth (CC) substrate first and then loading FeCoNi-LDH nanosheets on MnCoO.

Ion-selective membranes serve as key materials for reverse electrodialysis (RED) technology in osmotic energy harvesting, and the search for a class of membranes that are economical, highly robust, and sustainable has been a relentless goal for researchers. In this work, all-natural biomass membranes (reed membranes) are often used as a flute diaphragm, which makes the flute produce a brighter and crisper sound, presenting high strength and elasticity. Ultrathin natural reed membranes (thickness of ≈4.

In recent years, a disease called "Baotou" has been causing large-scale yield reductions of in China. Interestingly, , which once reported to be a probiotic or pathogen for multiple marine organisms, was strongly proved to be the pathogen causing "Baotou" disease in this study. Analysis of 16S rRNA gene profiling revealed that was the most abundant and dominant bacterium on the algal thalli suffering from "Baotou" disease, whereas its presence was scarcely detected on healthy thalli.

Background: Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma (PSC) is a highly aggressive malignancy with a significant risk of recurrence even after surgical intervention, leading to a dismal prognosis. In recent years, perioperative immunotherapy has demonstrated promising results in resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, there is a lack of studies reporting the efficacy of perioperative immunotherapy in PSC.

Aim: To study and analyze the clinicopathological features of low-grade fumarate hydratase-deficient renal cell carcinoma in order to improve the understanding of the diagnosis and management of rare and specific morphological cases of this tumor.
Methods: A case of low-grade FH-deficient renal cell carcinoma in a male is reported, and its clinicopathological features were analyzed and literature review was performed.
Results: A 48-year-old middle-aged male with no relevant positive clinical signs was admitted to the hospital with an incidental finding of a mass in the lower pole of the left kidney during abdominal CT examination.

Corrosion and degradation of magnesium (Mg) alloy result in serious damage and limit its application in new-energy automobile industry. Considerable protective coating is proposed, yet it is hindered by the difficulties in avoiding and visually monitoring coating micro-damage and localized metal corrosion. Herein, a novel anticorrosion coating system with autonomously monitoring multiple levels of damages in coated Mg-alloy system, is proposed.

Cisplatin induced acute kidney injury (AKI) is clinically prevalent, with a complex pathogenesis and a lack of effective therapeutic drugs. Polydatin (Po) has excellent biological activity, but its low solubility and bioavailability limit its application. In this study, fucoidan (Fu) and carboxymethyl chitosan (Cs) self-assembled into nanoparticles through electrostatic interactions/hydrogen bonding and loaded Po (Fu/Cs Po NPs).

Viscose fabrics are characterized as good moisture absorption and dyeability, but the disadvantage of being extremely flammable limits the application of viscose fabrics. In this paper, tea polyphenols (TPs), amino trimethylphosphonic acid (ATMP) and urea were used to synthesize a semi-durable and efficient flame retardant, TBP. The limiting oxygen index (LOI) of Viscose/TBP was 44.

Hypoxia is a common feature of various solid tumors, which reduces the sensitivity of tumor cells to both radiotherapy and chemotherapy. However, hypoxia also presents an opportunity for tumor-selective therapy. The prodrug strategy, leveraging the hypoxic nature of the tumor microenvironment, shows significant potential for clinical application.

Here, we report an electrochemical approach to generate an aldoxime-substituted nitrile oxide via the activation of nitromethane. The Cu-catalyzed Huisgen reaction of this 1,3-dipole with alkynes enables successful preparation of 48 new isoxazole aldoximes, which are typically challenging to synthesize by other methods, in 52 to 97% yields with excellent regioselectivity and chemoselectivity in a single step. Moreover, 20 3,3'-bisisoxazoles are prepared from the isoxazole aldoxime products in good yields via a two-step sequence.

Bed-sharing can have a negative impact on infant sleep safety. In order to reduce the occurrence of bed-sharing with infants, it's necessary to shift the research lens from newborn parents to the antenatal stage before infant birth. Our study aimed to assess the attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intentions of pregnant women about bed-sharing based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB).

Background: In recent years, the systemic immune-inflammatory index (SII) and prognostic nutritional index (PNI) have been considered potential predictors of survival outcomes in various solid tumors, including gastric cancer. However, there is a notable lack of research focusing on their prognostic implications specifically in the early stage of gastric cancer. This study aims to investigate the prognostic indicators of early gastric cancer (EGC), including neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), SII, PNI, and lymph node metastasis (LNM).
