Currently, only a few available targeted drugs are considered to be effective in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) treatment. The PARP inhibitor olaparib is a molecularly targeted drug that continues to be investigated in BRCA-mutated tumors. However, in tumors without BRCA gene mutations, particularly in STAD, the effect and molecular mechanism of olaparib are unclear, which largely restricts the use of olaparib in STAD treatment.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of microRNA (miR)-29b in the proliferation and migration of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in rats with castration-induced osteoporosis and the relevant mechanisms. The gene expression profiling microarray technique was utilized to sequence the BMSCs with overexpressed miR-29b. The intersection of the potential targets and the genes downregulated in the sequencing were utilized for GO enrichment analysis.

Background: LincRNA-p21 is involved in the initiation and progression of many human diseases. We aimed to investigate the expression of LincRNA-p21 in different types of liver diseases.
Methods: Serum from patients with primary liver diseases (chronic HBV or HCV infection, hepatitis B virus-related cirrhosis, hepatitis B virus-related HCC, non-HBV/HCV-related HCC, alcoholic liver disease) and HBV negative liver metastatic cancer and control healthy individuals was collected and serum lincRNA-p21 levels were determined by RT-qPCR.

Activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 increases following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, and is associated with cerebral microvascular permeability, blood-brain barrier destruction, inflammatory cell infiltration and brain edema. Matrix metalloproteinase-9 also likely participates in thrombolysis. A rat model of middle cerebral artery infarction was established by injecting autologous blood clots into the internal carotid artery.
