This study assesses the influence of climate policy uncertainty (CPU) on carbon emissions (CE) against the backdrop of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) in the US. The wavelet analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of correlations in the time and frequency domains. The results demonstrate a significant correlation between CPU and CE, which varies across different time periods and frequencies.

Institute for Advanced Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu 212013, China. Electronic address:

The development of heterogeneous supported nanocatalysts with a high kinetics combined with low cost is off importance but remains still challenged for hydrazine hydrate served as a promising hydrogen storage material. Herein, by virtue of surficial functional groups, ultrafine NiRh NPs were monodispersed on the two-dimensional VC surface via a conventional wet chemical co-reduction. The optimized NiRh/VC system demonstrates an excellent catalytic performance toward selectively catalyzing dehydrogenation of hydrazine hydrate, affording 100% H selectivity with the turnover frequency (TOF) value of 987.

Background: Low-intensity resistance exercise therapy (LIRET) based on myofascial chains, applied to both affected and nonlocal joints, is an effective method for knee osteoarthritis (OA) rehabilitation. This study applied LIRET in a comparison of prevalues and postvalues of lower-limb tension in female patients with knee OA and asymptomatic participants.

Methods: Twenty-four female participants with knee OA and 20 asymptomatic women took part in a 3-month long application of LIRET.

Introduction: Multi-morbidity is a public health priority as it is associated with an increased risk of mortality and a substantial healthcare burden. Smoking is considered a predisposing factor for multi-morbidity, but evidence for an association between multi-morbidity and nicotine dependence is insufficient. This study aimed to explore the association between smoking status, nicotine dependence, and multi-morbidity in China.

Objective: Mastitis is the most prevalent disease in dairy cows worldwide. Evidence has emerged that oxidative stress plays a crucial role in the development of mastitis. This study aimed to investigate the antioxidative effects of tanshinone IIa (Tan IIa) on LPS-induced oxidative stress in dairy cow mammary epithelial cells (CMECs).

Water consumption and energy consumption are inevitable in grain production, but few studies have focused on the integrated assessment of these two indicators and their relationships. To address the research deficiency, taking the North China Plain (NCP) as a case study, this paper quantifies the changes in grain crop planting structure and the accompanying changes in irrigation water consumption (IWC) and energy consumption (EC) in the NCP. On this basis, the water-energy coupling index (CI) is constructed to analyze the water-energy coupling relationship in the context of grain crop planting structure change.

In the field of catalysis, the design and construction of nanomaterials is an efficient way to optimize the catalytic activity of catalysts. This study presents the synthesis of PtCu tripod nanocrystals with branching structures and high purity prepared using a simple hydrothermal method. The dendritic PtCu triangular nanocrystals were successfully synthesized by regulating the amount of I ions to achieve different degrees of branching on PtCu nanocrystals, and the process was systematically studied and analyzed.

Herein, a label-free, self-enhanced electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensing strategy for divalent mercury (Hg(II)) detection was presented. First, a novel self-enhanced ECL luminophore was prepared by combining the ECL reagent tris(2, 2'-bipyridyl) dichlororuthenium(II) hexahydrate (Ru(bpy)) and its co-reactant carbon nitride quantum dots (CNQDs) via electrostatic interactions. In contrast to traditional ECL systems where the emitter and its co-reactant underwent an intermolecular reaction, the self-enhanced ECL system exhibited a shortened electron-transfer distance and enhanced luminous efficiency because the electrons transferred from CNQDs to oxidized Ru(bpy) via an intramolecular pathway.
