By integrating inter-channel features with intra-channel features, the self-attention mechanism generates a deep feature vector that encompasses information from all brain activities.

The impact of glucose metabolism on inflammatory processes in sepsis-induced acute lung injury.

Acute lung injury (ALI) is a prevalent and critical complication of sepsis, marked by high incidence and mortality rates, with its pathogenesis still not being fully elucidated. An intracranial yolk sac tumor with initial symptom of hemorrhage in the basal ganglia: a case report.

We report a case and follow-up of an adult male with intracranial yolk sac tumor (YST). Initially, the patient presented with abnormal high signals in the right basal ganglia on MRI, misdiagnosed as a cavernous hemangioma. However, within 2 years, the condition rapidly progressed into a large, hypervascular solid neoplasm leading to a basal ganglia hemorrhage.

CICADA: a circRNA effort toward the ghost proteome.

Recent studies have confirmed that certain circRNAs encode proteins that are integral to various biological functions. In this study, we present CICADA, an algorithm specifically designed to assess the protein-coding potential and coding products of circRNAs at high throughput, which enables the identification of previously unknown circRNA-encoded proteins. By harnessing the potential of this algorithm, we identified a variety of functional, protein-coding circRNAs in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and established circRNA translation profiles for diverse types of cancer.

Stemness regulation in prostate cancer: prostate cancer stem cells and targeted therapy.

Background: Increasing evidence indicates that cancer stem cells (CSCs) and cancer stem-like cells form a special subpopulation of cells that are ubiquitous in tumors. These cells exhibit similar characteristics to those of normal stem cells in tissues; moreover, they are capable of self-renewal and differentiation, as well as high tumorigenicity and drug resistance. In prostate cancer (PCa), it is difficult to kill these cells using androgen signaling inhibitors and chemotherapy drugs.

Comparison of efficacy and safety between gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy and trabeculectomy for primary open-angle glaucoma treatment: a retrospective cohort study.
