Background: This case highlights the management of concomitant acute myocarditis and congenital long QT syndrome with electrical storm and incessant Torsade de Pointes.
Case Presentation: An 18 years-old Southeast Asian para 1 abortus 0 (P1A0) postpartum patient with cesarean section owing to severe preeclampsia, acute lymphocytic myocarditis, and prolonged QT interval owing to long QT syndrome. She has incessant Torsade de Pointes treated with beta-blocker, lidocaine, overdrive pacing with a temporary transvenous pacemaker, left cardiac sympathetic denervation per video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator implantation.

Objective: Hydroxychloroquine paired with Azithromycin, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Zinc (HAZDPac), was used as a multidrug therapy method to treat COVID-19 illness and superimposed secondary bacterial pneumonia. Concerns have been raised though about such combinations regarding cardiac QTc interval prolongation and risks of arrhythmias, which we set out to address in this study.
Design: We evaluated cardiac safety in a Phase II Double-Blind Randomized Placebo-Controlled Trial of Combination Therapy to Treat COVID-19 Infections study, conducted by ProgenaBiome.

Objectives: To audit outcomes of patients registered in the Queensland Trophoblast Centre (QTC) database who develop resistance to primary chemotherapy. To determine any risk factors that may predict first-line chemotherapy resistance in patients diagnosed with gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN).
Methods: Patients within the QTC who were diagnosed with GTN between January 2012 and December 2020 were reviewed.

Background: Droperidol is a first-generation antipsychotic medication that has been used for various indications in the emergency department (ED); however, its use has been controversial due to reports of QT prolongation and the risk of torsades de pointes (TdP). The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety of droperidol administration in the ED.
Methods: This was a retrospective study, conducted at an academic level I trauma center.

An 85-year-old man with recently diagnosed metastatic EGFR+ lung adenocarcinoma treated with osimertinib presented after 1 month of therapy in decompensated congestive heart failure along with atrial fibrillation, prolonged QTc and acute kidney injury. Osimertinib was held. His hemodynamic status was optimized, and he was started on cardioprotective medications (losartan and metoprolol succinate), and LVEF recovered.

Nonclinical QTc studies can augment clinical QTc assessments in regulatory submissions provided they are of sufficient quality and sensitivity. Both the statistical performance and species translation play a role in determining the sensitivity of the model. The current analyses examine the effects of dofetilide or vehicle on the QT interval in nonhuman primate (NHP; n = 16) using a one-step estimated marginal means method where both treatment and animal ID are used in regression models to avoid a separate rate correction step, in comparison to other commonly utilized methods.

Background: St-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a serious condition that occurs when the blood flow to one or more coronary arteries is blocked, leading to damage or death of the heart muscle (myocardial injury or necrosis). The present study aimed to compare QTc and QTd intervals in patients with STEMI before and 90 minutes after treatment in Booali Sina Hospital, Qazvin, Iran.
Methods: The present study is an analytical cross-sectional study.

Background: IAH0968 is an afucosylated anti-epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) monoclonal antibody which improved the activity of antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and superior anti-tumor efficacy.
Methods: To determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) with dose-limiting toxicity (DLT), a single institution, phase Ia/Ib study was undertaken, using 3 + 3 design. The primary endpoints were safety, tolerability and preliminary clinical activity.

Background: Congenital long-QT syndrome (LQTS) is characterized by delayed ventricular repolarization, predisposing to potentially lethal ventricular arrhythmias. The variability in disease severity among patients remains largely unexplored, underscoring the limitations of current risk stratification methods.
Objective: We aimed to evaluate the potential utility of exercise stress test (EST) electrocardiographic markers in identifying high-risk LQTS patients.

Background: Smartphone electrocardiograms (iECGs) are an innovative method of capturing transient arrhythmias that are occasionally experienced by athletes. This study aimed to assess the accuracy of a 6-lead iECG compared with 12-lead ECG in athletes and those with known genetic heart disease (positive controls).
Research Design And Methods: Each participant had a resting 12-lead ECG (supine) and a 30 s 6-lead iECG (seated) taken within 2 h.

Purpose: FHD-609, a potent, selective, heterobifunctional degrader of bromodomain-containing protein 9 (BRD9), was evaluated for treatment of patients with advanced synovial sarcoma (SS) or SMARCB1-deficient tumors.
Patients And Methods: In this multinational, open-label, phase 1 study (NCT04965753), patients received FHD609 intravenously at escalating doses either twice weekly (BIW) (5 to 80 mg; n=40) or once weekly (QW) (40 to 120 mg; n=15).
Results: Fifty-five patients received FHD-609 for a median of 43 days.

Introduction: Abdominoplasty aims to reduce the abdominal excess tissue and tighten the abdominal wall. The tightening of the abdominal wall has structural and habitual consequences on the body, which might have an early effect on electrocardiography (ECG) of the patients through volumetric and pressure changes in thoracic and abdominal cavities. ECG serves as a diagnostic tool for assessing cardiac electrical conductions in routine clinical practice.

QTc interval prolongation, which is linked to cardiac arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death, is common in HIV-infected patients. This prolongation can be attributed to the side effects of antiretroviral medications, the direct impact of HIV on the heart, and chronic inflammatory responses that disrupt cardiac electrical activity. This study aimed at assessing QTc interval prolongation and associated factors among HIV-infected adults on ART.

Objective: The present study was conducted to assess the accuracy and reliability of portable 12‑lead electrocardiography (ECG) devices in patients with heart disease.
Materials And Methods: This single-center, prospective, blinded study enrolled 62 patients between September and October 2023 from the Heart Center of a Class III hospital. In sequential tests on each patient, heart rate (HR) and the PR, QT, QTc and QRS intervals of ECG recordings obtained with a portable 12‑lead device (Weheal, CN) were compared with those obtained via conventional 12‑lead ECG.
