Aim: To assess the clinical effectiveness of 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in arresting dental caries when compared to combination of fluoride-containing glass ionomer cement (GIC) and fluoride varnish(FV) (5%) among intellectually disabled (ID) individuals.

Methodology: A randomized controlled trial was conducted among ID (n = 82) individuals, in permanent posterior teeth with Nyvad score 2 and 3 (active caries) of dental caries, randomly allocated to experimental arm (38% SDF) (n = 41) and control arm (GIC along with FV) (n = 41). The caries arrest rate and caries preventive fraction was observed at 6-months among both groups.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the piezoelectric device on intraoperative hemorrhage control during surgery and the quality of life of patients after endodontic microsurgery.

Methods: A total of 40 patients were randomly divided into the piezo group (n = 20) and the control group (n = 20). In the piezo group, after flap reflection, bone cutting, granulation tissue removal, and root-end resection were performed using the piezoelectric surgical device and surgical carbide burs, and curettes were used in the control group.

Glycolic acid (GA), lactic acid (LA) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels have been used in various combinations for treating melasma patients, but none of the studies have compared their therapeutic efficacy and improvement in quality of life (QOL) index with these three peeling agents in melasma. Our study aims to compare the clinical efficacy, safety, tolerability and improvement in QOL index between 30% GA, 92% LA, and 15% TCA peeling in epidermal melasma. Introduction: The purpose of this randomized controlled trial was to evaluate the role of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the healing of through-and-through periapical lesions using both 2-dimensional periapical radiographs and 3-dimensional (3D) cone-beam computed tomographic imaging.
