Introduction: Dental fluorosis is a major endemic oral disease characterized by hypo mineralization of enamel caused due to consumption of water containing high concentration of fluoride during developmental stages of teeth.

Aim: To assess the prevalence of dental fluorosis among 11-14 years old school children in endemic fluoride areas of Haryana and to find their treatment needs.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 2200 school children in endemic fluoride areas of Haryana (India) for a period of six months.

It is structurally comparable to amphetamines, and World Anti-Doping Agency has prohibited its use as a performance-enhancing drug. Efficacy and Safety of 25% Trichloroacetic Acid Peel Versus 30% Salicylic Acid Peel in Mild-to-Moderate Acne Vulgaris: A Comparative Study.

Background: Both salicylic acid (SA) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) have proven efficacy with good safety profiles in the treatment of acne vulgaris.

Objectives: This study compared the clinical efficacy and safety of 25% TCA and 30% SA peels in the treatment of mild and moderate acne vulgaris.

Methods: Patients with mild or moderate acne vulgaris were randomized into 2 groups of 25 persons each, and treated with either the TCA peel or the SA peel at 2-week intervals for 12 weeks.

Effectiveness of silver diamine fluoride and glass ionomer cement combined with fluoride varnish in arresting dental caries among intellectually disabled individuals: A randomized controlled trial.

Aim: To assess the clinical effectiveness of 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in arresting dental caries when compared to combination of fluoride-containing glass ionomer cement (GIC) and fluoride varnish(FV) (5%) among intellectually disabled (ID) individuals.

Methodology: A randomized controlled trial was conducted among ID (n = 82) individuals, in permanent posterior teeth with Nyvad score 2 and 3 (active caries) of dental caries, randomly allocated to experimental arm (38% SDF) (n = 41) and control arm (GIC along with FV) (n = 41). The caries arrest rate and caries preventive fraction was observed at 6-months among both groups.

Effect of the Piezoelectric Device on Intraoperative Hemorrhage Control and Quality of Life after Endodontic Microsurgery: A Randomized Clinical Study.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the piezoelectric device on intraoperative hemorrhage control during surgery and the quality of life of patients after endodontic microsurgery.

Methods: A total of 40 patients were randomly divided into the piezo group (n = 20) and the control group (n = 20). In the piezo group, after flap reflection, bone cutting, granulation tissue removal, and root-end resection were performed using the piezoelectric surgical device and surgical carbide burs, and curettes were used in the control group.

Introduction: Vitamin D has been shown to play a vital role in bone mineral homeostasis by stimulating the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. The critical role of Vitamin D in bone metabolism triggered the need to evaluate the effect of Vitamin D deficiency and hence replacement of the same on osseointegration of dental implants. Most worthwhile superficial chemical peel for melasma of skin of color: Authors' experience of glycolic, trichloroacetic acid, and lactic peel.

Glycolic acid (GA), lactic acid (LA) and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels have been used in various combinations for treating melasma patients, but none of the studies have compared their therapeutic efficacy and improvement in quality of life (QOL) index with these three peeling agents in melasma. Our study aims to compare the clinical efficacy, safety, tolerability and improvement in QOL index between 30% GA, 92% LA, and 15% TCA peeling in epidermal melasma. Ninety patients were divided into three groups with 30 in each.

Cognitive impairment is a common entity in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which plays an important role in increasing the morbidity in these patients. This study was performed to evaluate cognitive dysfunction and its severity in different stages of CKD and identify the correlation with factors affecting this dysfunction. A cross-sectional design study was conducted on 100 patients with CKD Stage III to V-D fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Introduction: The purpose of this randomized controlled trial was to evaluate the role of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the healing of through-and-through periapical lesions using both 2-dimensional periapical radiographs and 3-dimensional (3D) cone-beam computed tomographic imaging.

Methods: Thirty-four patients after confirmation of a through-and-through periapical lesion were enrolled and randomly assigned to either the control or PRP group. Periapical surgery was performed, and grafting of the bone defect with PRP was done in the PRP group before suturing.
