Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between sonographic measurements of umbilical cord coiling index during late second trimester of pregnancy and perinatal outcome.
Methods: This prospective study was conducted on two hundred pregnant women with uncomplicated, singleton pregnancy between 20 to 24 weeks of gestation. The antenatal umbilical coiling index (UCI) was calculated by doing a transabdominal ultrasound at the time of induction into the study as the reciprocal of the pitch of one complete vascular coil.

Cholecalciferol (vitamin D) might play a physiological role in photo-induced melanogenesis in human skin. We estimated the levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH)D] before, during, and after Narrow Band Ultraviolet B (NBUVB) radiation in patients of vitiligo and their correlation with NBUVB induced pigmentation. Thirty patients of vitiligo and equal number of age and sex matched controls were recruited for the study.

Osteoporosis is a chronic disease of the osseous system characterized by decreased bone strength and increased fracture risk. It is due to an imbalance in the dynamic ongoing processes of bone formation and bone resorption. Currently available osteoporosis therapies like bisphosphonates, selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs), and denosumab are anti-resorptive agents.

Aims: To compare the clinical and pathologic assessment of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy and describe the various histopathologic changes observed.
Materials And Methods: We studied a group of 40 patients with locally advanced breast cancer who had their initial workup in the form of clinico-imaging assessment of the size and pretreatment biopsy from the lesion. All the patients received two to six cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, either cyclophosphamide 50 to 60 mg/m 2 IV, doxorubicin 40 to 50 mg/m 2 IV and 5-fluorouracil 500 to 800 mg/m 2 IV (CAF) or cyclophosphamide, epirubicin, and 5-fluorouracil (CEF).

Internal jugular vein (IJV) thrombosis is a rare entity. It is usually secondary to various etiologies such as ovarian hyperstimulation, deep vein thrombosis of upper limbs, venous catheter, malignancy, trauma, infection, and neck surgery and hypercoagulable status. We report an unusual case of internal jugular vein thrombosis with cerebral sinus thrombosis, postpartum in a 22-year-old female patient who presented with a painful swelling on the left side of her neck.

Unlabelled: Dislocation of the head of the radius may be either congenital, an isolated injury or more commonly part of a complex injury to the elbow such as the Monteggia fracturedislocation. Isolated traumatic radial head dislocation without associated injuries in children is a rare and easily missed condition. We report such a case in a 7-year-old boy without any associated injuries or co-morbid conditions.

Renal involvement in primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) is not uncommon. Autoimmune tubulointerstitial disorders and distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA) account for majority of the cases of renal involvement. While dRTA may precede the onset of sicca syndrome in pSS, nephrocalcinosis as a presenting manifestation of pSS is rare.

Study Design: Analysis of morphometric data obtained from direct measurements of 100 cadaveric thoracic spines in Indian population.
Purpose: To collect a base line morphometric data and analyze it in reference to the musculoskeletal anatomy and biomechanics of the spine; implants and instrumentations; and to suggest the requisite modification in spinal surgery instrumentations.
Overview Of Literature: Most of the previous studies in the world literature have focused primarily on the parameters of the pedicle and to the authors' knowledge; no study has been published from the Indian subcontinent reporting a detailed morphometry of the thoracic spine.
