Background: In 2018, the Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology (MSRSGC) was published, defining a diagnostic categorization scheme. However, this system of classification was criticized due to its suboptimal diagnostic accuracy and low interobserver reliability. For these reasons, the modified Milan system was recently proposed by a few authors claiming it to be more clinically reliable.

Objective: Gender determination is pivotal in establishing a biological profile of human remains, where fragments of the skull persist with unidentifiable dental arch data. Owing to the resistance and stability against external factors such as trauma and fractures, radiological assessment of the frontal sinus can be a useful indicator for sexual dimorphism. Keeping this in mind, a study was designed to analyse the efficacy of morphometric assessment of the frontal sinus for gender determination in the North Indian population.

HOX genes constitute a family of evolutionarily conserved transcription factors that play pivotal roles in embryonic development, tissue patterning, and cell differentiation. These genes are essential for the precise spatial and temporal control of body axis formation in vertebrates. In addition to their developmental functions, HOX genes have garnered significant attention for their involvement in various diseases, including cancer.

Cleft palate leads to difficulty in suckling, speech abnormalities, dental problems, hearing loss and middle ear infections. Feeding plate acts as a barrier between the oral and nasal cavities allowing the normal development of jaws and enhanced nutritional supply to the patient. Fabrication of the feeding plate using digital means provide better adaptability due to the engagement of all the possible favourable anatomic undercuts, thereby, providing better retention.

Rationale: COVID-19 has led to a resurgence in cases of mucormycosis, especially the rhino-orbital form affecting the oral cavity, nasal, orbital and cerebral regions.
Patient Concerns: The surgical treatment in this patient led to the exenteration of orbital contents and segmental maxillectomy of the affected side leading to facial disfigurement and inability to masticate.
Diagnosis: A combined mucormycosis-associated oro-orbital defect was present leading to a communication between oral and orbital cavities.

Congenital complete heart block (CCHB) is a rare, but a potentially life-threatening manifestation of autoimmune diseases in neonates. Bradycardia in CCHB can be misdiagnosed as foetal distress in utero and thus precipitating a Caesarean section. We report a case series of three neonates with bradycardia without any electrolyte abnormalities and structurally normal hearts with favourable outcomes.

Odontogenic cysts are a diverse group of pathologic entities with different proliferation potential, leading to variations in their biological behavior. One of the most cited proliferation markers used in diagnostic histopathology is Ki-67. Another group of proteins recently investigated is minichromosome maintenance (MCM-3) and its expression has been evaluated in several odontogenic lesions but the results were controversial.

Background: CTNNB1 gene encodes beta catenin, a transcriptional activator of Wnt pathway involved in the pathogenesis of odontogenic lesions. Though located intramembranously, its translocation into cytoplasm and nucleus could trigger cell proliferation, inhibition of apoptosis, invasion and migration of the tumour cell.
Materials And Methods: Five electronic databases including MEDLINE by PubMed, Google scholar, Scopus, Trip, Cochrane library and EMBASE until 1 January 2023 without period restriction were thoroughly searched.

Purpose: To compare the clinical outcome of tapered and cylindrical implants placed in the posterior region of mandible by measuring implant stability and crestal bone level at the healing period.
Materials And Methods: A prospective clinical study was conducted on 15 patients who were included in the study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 30 dental implants were placed in both groups: 15 implants in Group I (tapered implants) and 15 implants in Group II (cylindrical implants) in the posterior region of mandible.

Background And Objectives: Sevoflurane and desflurane virtually equally dissolve in blood gases, yet current research suggests that desflurane helps in a quick return of airway reflex than sevoflurane however the return of cognitive activity fluctuates greatly. In order to compare the lengths of time required to recover after sevoflurane and desflurane anesthesia, the current research was conducted.
Materials And Methods: Current study was randomized that included 100 subjects who were posted for cholecystectomy (elective).

Purpose: This study focused on the genetic screening of Myocilin (MYOC), Cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily B member 1 (CYP1B1), Optineurin (OPTN), and SIX homeobox 6 (SIX6) genes in a family with coexistence of primary congenital glaucoma (PCG) and juvenile open-angle glaucoma (JOAG).
Methods: Sanger sequencing was used to examine the coding region of all four genes. Six different online available algorithms were used for the pathogenicity prediction of missense variant.
