The diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) mimicking an epidural hematoma in the cervical spine is an extremely unique case. We present a case of a 42-year-old man, who presented to the emergency department with symptoms of tetraparesis after a session of spinal manipulation therapy. magnetic resonance imaging visualized a lesion located at C3-C7 causing spinal cord compression with surrounding soft tissue edema suggesting epidural hematoma.

Purpose: The purpose of this review is to present current scientific reports on the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN).
Views: The condition is caused by a mutation in the PANK2 gene, which results in iron accumulation in the brain and changes in the functioning of biochemical pathways dependent on coenzyme A. There are two clinical types of PKAN, which differ in the time of onset of symptoms and speed of disease progression.

Background: Current guidelines do not recommend β-blockers in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) unless indicated by comorbidities. However, the evidence regarding the role of β-blockers in PAH is contradictory.
Research Question: What are the effects of β-blockers on clinical outcomes in patients newly diagnosed with PAH, and how do these outcomes differ based on the presence of cardiovascular comorbidities that are standard indications for β-blocker use?
Study Design And Methods: We analyzed data from 806 patients newly diagnosed with PAH enrolled prospectively in the Database of Pulmonary Hypertension in the Polish Population (BNP-PL).

Aim Of The Study: Predictive factors for poor outcomes in hypothermic cardiac arrest (HCA) differ from those in normothermic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). This study aimed to evaluate the outcomes of extracorporeal life support (ECLS) in HCA patients who may not be considered eligible based on the guidelines set by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO).
Methods: A retrospective multicentre study included 127 HCA patients, divided into two groups: those meeting the ELSO eligibility criteria for ECLS, and those with at least one of the following ELSO exclusion criteria: age over 70 years, unwitnessed cardiac arrest, or asystole.

Mechanisms resulting from the physiological immaturity of the digestive system in children delivered before 32 weeks of gestation and, in particular, different interactions between the microbiome and the body have not been fully elucidated yet. Next-generation sequencing methods demonstrated the presence of bacterial DNA in the placenta and amniotic fluid, which may reflect bacterial populations that initiate intestinal colonization in utero. Numerous studies confirmed the hypothesis stating that intestinal bacteria played an important role in the pathogenesis of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) early- and late-onset neonatal sepsis (EONS and LONS).
