Methods: We selected 15 m5C regulators and performed unsupervised clustering to identify m5C modification patterns and differentially expressed genes associated with the m5C phenotype in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) sarcomas.

In this study, we developed an ultrathin filtering membrane with slit-shaped pores which can achieve circulating tumor cell (CTC) separation from whole blood with high performance (high capture efficiency, high white blood cell (WBC) depletion, and high viability). The silicon nitride (SiN) filtering membrane was fabricated the standard microfabrication technology, which can be easily scaled up to mass-production. 6 μm was determined as the optimum width of the filtering pores to better separate CTCs in whole blood, which can reach a high capture efficiency of ∼96%.

We retrospectively collected baseline clinical characteristics and blood parameters from 153 patients diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer that underwent oxaliplatin-based first-line chemotherapy.

Background: Stress granules (SGs) are the dense granules formed in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells in response to stress stimuli, such as endoplasmic reticulum stress, heat shock, hypoxia, and arsenate exposure. Although SGs have been attracting a lot of research attention, there is still a lack of systematic analysis of SGs in the literature.

Methods: By analyzing the literature published in the Web of Science database using the R software, we extracted all the information related to SGs from the literature and cited references.

The aim of this study was to identify miRNAs in plasma exosomes as noninvasive biomarkers for the early diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). First, exosomal miRNA profiling of three patients with early LUAD and three patients with benign lung disease were screened by next-generation sequencing (NGS) method. Sequencing results showed that 154 exosomal miRNAs were differentially expressed in the plasma of LUAD patients, among which 68 miRNAs were up-regulated and 86 miRNAs were down-regulated.

IVIM-DWI and MRI-based radiomics in cervical cancer: Prediction of concurrent chemoradiotherapy sensitivity in combination with clinical prognostic factors.

Purpose: To identify the feasibility and value of intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion weighted imaging (IVIM-DWI) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based radiomics combined with clinical prognostic factors (CPF) in predicting concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) sensitivity of locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC).

Methods: A retrospective analysis of 163 patients (assigned to training or test groups) who underwent conventional MRI and IVIM-DWI before CCRT were divided into sensitive and resistant groups according to their efficacy at 6 months after CCRT. Per-treatment IVIM-DWI parameters (ADC, D, D and f value), 3D texture features (from axial TWI) and CPF were measured, analyzed and screened.
