Appropriate waste management is increasingly relevant due to environmental and infectious disease transmission concerns. An anonymous observational cross-sectional study was conducted from 2013-2017 of 262 tattooists and 824 beauticians throughout Poland. Knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and compliance with blood-borne infection controls and correct waste disposal were assessed.

Incidental Findings and How to Manage Them: Testis- A WFUMB Position Paper.

Differentiating Stroke and Seizure in Acute Setting-Perfusion Computed Tomography?

Background: Perfusion computed tomography (PCT) is part of acute stroke protocol in many hospitals; however, its clinical utility is still being disputed. Beyond its use in core and penumbra estimation, there is also a question about PCT role in stroke mimics diagnosis. Case series or small, retrospective studies showed equivocal results.

Targeted prenatal diagnosis of Pallister-Killian syndrome.

Objective: To present five new cases of prenatally diagnosed Pallister-Killian syndrome (PKS) and to propose an approach for a targeted diagnosis.

Method: We retrospectively analyzed ultrasound findings and cytogenetic results in PKS. We also searched through dysmorphology databases for features occurring in PKS that could potentially be seen in prenatal ultrasound examination.

Extent of lymphadenectomy in patients with bladder cancer undergoing radical cystectomy - a multi-institutional analysis.

Lymph node dissection (LND) performed at radical cystectomy (RC) has therapeutic and staging significance. However, the extent of LND remains controversial. The aim of this study was to analyze surgical patterns and results of LND in a contemporary series of patients with bladder cancer.

Clinical significance of the prenatal double bubble sign - single institution experience.

Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the risk of aneuploidy, associated structural anomalies, and pregnancy outcome in the presence of prenatal double bubble sign detection.

Method: We have performed a retrospective study on ultrasound reports and pregnancy outcomes in 42 fetuses with double bubble sign examined in our ultrasound department between 1998 and 2013.

Results: Additional major defects or aneuploidy markers were present in 24 fetuses.

Comparative study of the retinal nerve fibre layer thickness performed with optical coherence tomography and GDx scanning laser polarimetry in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.

Background: We compared the parameters of retinal nerve fibre layer in patients with advanced glaucoma with the use of different OCT (Optical Coherence Tomograph) devices in relation to analogical measurements performed with GDx VCC (Nerve Fiber Analyzer with Variable Corneal Compensation) scanning laser polarimetry.

Material/methods: Study subjects had advanced primary open-angle glaucoma, previously treated conservatively, diagnosed and confirmed by additional examinations (visual field, ophthalmoscopy of optic nerve, gonioscopy), A total of 10 patients were enrolled (9 women and 1 man), aged 18-70 years of age. Nineteen eyes with advanced glaucomatous neuropathy were examined.
