Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by recurrent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Although selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are widely used to treat OCD, only half of the patients respond well. Several potentiation strategies including off-label use of antipsychotics (mostly risperidone, quetiapine) have been tried.

Methods: One hundred and twenty-seven infertile women who had been referred to the Family Planning and Infertility Research and Practice Center (IRPC) of a university hospital to receive therapy between June 2012-2013 were enrolled in this study. Several surveys, including the "Infertile Woman Identification Form", the "Infertility Distress Scale (IDS)" and the "Ways of Coping Inventory (WCI)," were used as data collection tools.

Methods: The study design was cross-sectional, descriptive and comparative. The data were collected between August 2011 and February 2012.
