Water vapor thermal therapy (Rezūm System) in patients with large prostates: results from a prospective comparative study.

Background: Rezūm is a novel minimally invasive surgical technique (MIST) useful for BPH patients with medium-sized prostate (30-80 cm) refractory to medical treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Rezūm as a treatment option in large-sized prostates (>80 cm).

Methods: We performed a prospective, comparative, single-center study from June 2022 to June 2023, including consecutive patients undergoing surgery with the Rezūm System.

Shockwave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction: Which Gives the Best Results? A Retrospective National, Multi-Institutional Comparative Study of Different Shockwave Technologies.

Background: Low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-SWT) is a promising option for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Many devices with different characteristics in terms of generators, shockwaves, set-up parameters and procedure protocols are commercially available. In this report, we present our experience with the main shockwave technologies currently in use in clinical practice for ED treatment.

The safety and feasibility of the simultaneous use of 180-W GreenLight laser for prostate vaporization during concomitant surgery.

Objectives: To explore the safety and feasibility of photo-selective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) with GreenLight XPS 180 Watt laser (GL-180- W XPS) combined with other surgical procedures.
