Unexpected posterior mediastinal mass: A case report and literature review.

Introduction: Glomangioma is an uncommon hypervascular tumor typically found in the extremities, with primary occurrences in the mediastinum being exceedingly rare.

Case Presentation: A 38-year-old male presented to our cardio-thoracic surgery department with chest pain. Chest computed tomography (CT) revealed a 45 mm posterior paravertebral right solidocystic mass, a finding confirmed by Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a solidocystic mass in the posterior paravertebral right pleura suggesting a fibrous tumor exhibiting cystic degeneration.

Clinical impact of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections in patients with cirrhosis.

Recently, the emergency of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO) has complicated the management of bacterial infections (BI) in cirrhosis. We aimed to assess their clinical impact on patients with decompensated cirrhosis. A retrospective study included consecutive cirrhotic patients hospitalized for acute decompensation (AD) between January 2010 and December 2019.

A poor prognosis of a mediastinal bronchogenic cyst with malignant transformation: A case report.

Introduction: Bronchogenic cysts (BC) are congenital lesions, it results from an abnormal budding of the tracheobronchial tree. Malignant transformation is very rare. We report a case of adenocarcinoma arising in a BC of the posterior mediastinum detected after surgery.

Endoscopic removal of a transgastric migrated textiloma: a case report.

Aim: Abdominal textiloma is an uncommon postoperative complication which can result in a fistula with luminal migration in the digestive tract. Surgery has been the mainstay method for textiloma removal; however, removal of retained gauze by upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is possible avoiding reoperation.

Case Report: We report a case of an abdominal textiloma in a 38-year-old male, which migrated into the stomach and was extracted by upper endoscopy.

A sero-epidemiological investigation of West Nile virus among patients without any records of their symptoms from three different hospitals from Tunisia.

West Nile virus is one of the most known arboviruses around the world, along with Dengue virus, Toscana virus, Chikungunya (CHIK). In Tunisia, many epidemics of WNV had occurred in the past. The last one dated from 2018.

Impact of Urinary Incontinence on Physical Function and Respiratory Muscle Strength in Incontinent Women: A Comparative Study between Urinary Incontinent and Apparently Healthy Women.

Patients with stress urinary incontinence (SUI) may be afraid to increase intra-abdominal pressure to avoid incontinence. This could lead to weak expiratory muscles. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between respiratory muscle strength, physical function, and SUI in patients with SUI.

Diagnostic Accuracy and Relationship Between Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Vessel Density and Structural/Functional Parameters in Healthy, Preperimetric, and Manifest Glaucoma Eyes.

Purpose: To evaluate circumpapillary vessel density (cpVD) in normal subjects, preperimetric glaucoma, and manifest glaucoma, assess the relationship between cpVD and both structural and functional parameters and compare the diagnostic accuracy of the structural and vascular measurements.

Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study of 153 eyes of 83 individuals divided into three groups: Normal subjects, preperimetric glaucoma, and manifest glaucoma. All individuals underwent standard automated perimetry, spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), and OCT angiography (OCT-A) centered on the optic nerve.

Pregnancy after renal transplantation: a retrospective study at the military hospital of Tunis from 1992 to 2011.

Introduction: Our study objective was to analyze the optimum conditions for pregnancy in kidney transplanted women. For that, we conducted a retrospective study was from 1992 to April 2011 about 17 pregnancies in 12 kidney transplanted patients followed in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Organ Transplant Unit of the Military Hospital of Tunis.

Methods: We studied nephrological parameters and obstetric pathologies encountered during pregnancy and the potential impact of pregnancy on graft.

Extra-uterine twin pregnancy: case report of spontaneous bilateral tubal ectopic pregnancy.

Spontaneous bilateral ectopic pregnancy is the rarest form of ectopic pregnancy. Bilateral tubal pregnancies in the absence of preceding induction of ovulation are a rare occurrence, with an estimated incidence of 1 in 725 to 1 in 1580 ectopicpregnancies. They are usually diagnosed at the time of surgery.

Soft-tissue tumor of the perineum: an exceptional case of bilateral perineal myoma.

Perineal myomas in female are exceptional. We report the second case in literature of perineal myomas. It is a case of bilateral perineal myomas lifting the skin occurring in a female patient of 49 years old.
