Introduction: The study was conducted to observe the effect of using relaxing sounds as a nonpharmacological intervention on anxiety levels and vital signs among patients who underwent extraction.
Materials And Methods: A randomized clinical trial was conducted, and patients with an indication of dental extraction, who were physically and mentally healthy, were invited to voluntarily participate in the study. Dental anxiety was assessed by measuring blood pressure, heart rates, and respiratory rates as well as with the help of the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) questionnaire before and after the procedure.

Background: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) pose diagnostic challenges, and selecting appropriate imaging modalities is crucial for accurate assessment. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy and efficacy of ultrasonography (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in identifying TMDs.
Methods: A comprehensive meta-analysis was conducted, including studies that compared US and MRI for TMJ disorder assessments.

Background: We are always concerned about radiation exposure during dental imaging procedures. We explore the crucial differences in radiation doses between Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) and Medical computed tomography (CT) imaging, aiming to shed light on the safety and efficiency of these techniques.
Materials And Methods: In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis using state-of-the-art dental imaging equipment.

Background: The present review aimed to investigate the association between salivary biomarkers and temporomandibular disorders (TMD). TMD is a multifactorial condition characterised by pain and dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and surrounding structures. Salivary biomarkers have emerged as potential diagnostic tools due to their non-invasiveness and easy accessibility.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been suggested as an adjunctive therapeutic approach for peri-implantitis. This systematic review aimed to assess the clinical and radiographic outcomes of adjunctive PDT (aPDT) for the treatment of peri-implantitis among diabetics and cigarette smokers. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs), which assessed the clinical and radiographic outcomes of aPDT versus other intervention(s) and/or MD alone among diabetics and smokers with peri-implantitis, were considered eligible for the review.

This study concentrated on the influence of rice husk biochar on the structural, thermal, flammable, and mechanical properties of recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The percentage of rice husk biochar with recycled HDPE was varied between 10% and 40%, and the optimum percentages were found for the various properties. Mechanical characteristics were evaluated in terms of the tensile, flexural, and impact properties.

The continuous exposure of electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation from cell phone towers may possibly have an influence on public health. Each cell phone tower is unique in terms of number of antennas and its associated attributes; thus, the radiation exposure varies from one tower to another. Hence, a standardized method for quantifying the exposure is beneficial while studying the effects of radiation on the human population residing around the cell phone towers.
