The inclusion of the less aggressive follicular form of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is associated with an increase in the incidence of the condition, with the follicular variant of PTC being the most common of all variants. The majority of individuals with the encapsulated follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (EFVPTC) are treated as though they have classic thyroid cancer, despite the availability of mounting evidence to contradict the aforementioned. According to numerous research, a certain type of noninvasive-EFVPTC (NI-EFVPTC) demonstrated poor histopathologic diagnostic reproducibility and has received aggressive treatment similar to that of a classical thyroid neoplasm.

Despite their remarkable biosynthetic potential, have been widely overlooked. However, their capability to withstand harsh conditions (extreme temperature, Ultraviolet (UV) and γ-radiation, and dehydration) and the promiscuous metabolites they synthesize have created increased commercial interest in them as a therapeutic agent, a food preservative, and a plant-pathogen control agent. Nevertheless, the commercial-scale availability of these metabolites is constrained due to challenges in their accessibility via synthesis and low fermentation yields.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 may inflict a post-viral condition known as post-COVID-19 syndrome (PCS) or long-COVID. Studies measuring levels of inflammatory and vascular biomarkers in blood, serum, or plasma of COVID-19 survivors with PCS versus non-PCS controls have produced mixed findings. Our review sought to meta-analyse those studies.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is an uncommon type of malignancy/cancer worldwide. However, NPC is an endemic disease in southeast Asia and southern China and the reasons behind the underlying for such changes are unclear. Even though the Epstein-Barr infection (EBV) has been suggested as an important reason for undistinguishable NPC, the EBV itself is not adequate to source this type of cancer.

Background: Dedicator of cytokinesis 8 (DOCK 8) deficiency, also known as autosomal recessive hyper immunoglobulin E (IgE) syndrome, is a combined immunodeficiency disease that was first recognized in 2009. It is caused by genetic alterations (mutations or deletions) in the DOCK 8 gene and is characterized by multiple allergies, elevated IgE levels, and susceptibility to viral and bacterial infections. Early diagnosis is critical to optimize the success of stem cell transplantation.

Since the first case of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in 2019, SARS-CoV-2 infection has affected many individuals worldwide. Eventually, some highly infectious mutants-caused by frequent genetic recombination-have been reported for SARS-CoV-2 that can potentially escape from the immune responses and induce long-term immunity, linked with a high mortality rate. In addition, several reports stated that vaccines designed for the SARS-CoV-2 wild-type variant have mixed responses against the variants of concern (VOCs) and variants of interest (VOIs) in the human population.

Purpose: Medical education research focused on patient-centered outcomes holds the promise of improved decision-making by medical educators. In 2001, Prystowsky and Bordage demonstrated that patient-centered outcomes were evaluated in fewer than one percent of studies published in a survey of major medical education journals. Though many have called for increased inclusion of patient-centered outcomes in medical education literature, it remains uncertain to what degree this need has been addressed systematically.

By the beginning of 2021, the battle against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) remains ongoing. Investigating the adaptive immune response against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes COVID-19, in patients who have recovered from this disease could contribute to our understanding of the natural host immune response. We enrolled 38 participants in this study.
