Objective: We sought to describe short term outcomes in patients with large vessel occlusion acute ischemic stroke (LVOAIS) who were treated with intravenous tenecteplase (TNK) as compared to alteplase (tPA), focusing on reduction in the need for mechanical thrombectomy (MT).
Background: In LVOAIS, TNK has shown improved reperfusion and outcomes with a similar safety profile to tPA. Ultra-early reperfusion has been described with TNK which would prevent the need for MT.

Background: Nimodipine improves outcomes following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) and current guidelines suggest that patients with aSAH receive nimodipine for 21 days. Patients with no difficulty swallowing will swallow the whole capsules or tablets; otherwise, nimodipine liquid must be drawn from capsules, tablets need to be crushed, or the commercially available liquid product be used to facilitate administration through an enteral feeding tube (FT). It is not clear whether these techniques are equivalent.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine which factors influence survivors' decisions to continue exercising in or outside of a supervised exercise program using the theory of planned behavior (TPB).

Pancreatitis is inflammation of pancreas associated most commonly with chronic alcoholism and gallstones. Other less common causes of pancreatitis are hyperlipidemia, infections, surgery, trauma, post endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and drugs. Drugs are now increasingly recognized as a cause of pancreatitis, and high suspicion and exclusion of other most common causes is required before considering drug-induced pancreatitis.

Recently, there seems to be more creative advertising regarding bismuth subsalicylate (BSS) for lots of gastrointestinal issues. I have found during medication reconciliation that some patients overuse and believe use of BSS products is without risks. From an advertising perspective, there seem to be many happy persons consuming BSS with no mention of restrictions or safety recommendations.
