The vaginal microbiota is proposed to be associated with reproductive health. Exposure to metals during pregnancy is a risk factor for premature rupture of membranes (PROM). PROM can lead to serious maternal complications, thus, identifying the cause and therapeutic targets for it is crucial.

Takayasu's arteritis (TA) is a rare, chronic inflammatory disease of unknown cause, primarily affecting young women in their reproductive years. It can result in the narrowing and occlusion of arteries and the formation of aneurysms in arteries, especially those related to the aorta, creating significant risks during pregnancy. Women with TA are more susceptible to cardiovascular complications, including hypertension and heart failure, which can negatively affect both maternal and fetal health.

Previous studies have investigated whether inflammatory cytokines in maternal circulation are associated with preterm birth. However, many have reported inconsistent results, and few have investigated cytokine trends through gestation, particularly with respect to subtypes of preterm birth. We explored levels of 15 inflammatory cytokines and growth factors in plasma and serum collected in the second (17-23 weeks, timepoint 1 (T1)) and third (28-32 weeks, timepoint 2 (T2)) trimesters with respect to subtypes of preterm birth: spontaneous preterm labour (sPTL), preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM), and medically indicated preterm birth (mPTB).

Objective: This study aims to assess the safety and effectiveness of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) ablation on pregnancy outcomes among women with uterine fibroids wishing to conceive, focusing specifically on short-term pregnancy outcomes immediately following HIFU treatment.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 210 women who underwent HIFU treatment (Group I) at our institution between January 2018 and December 2022 and subsequently conceived. Pregnancy outcomes were compared with two control groups: 510 patients who delivered vaginally (Group II) and 278 who underwent cesarean sections (Group III) during the same period.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare obese and non-obese women with multiple pregnancies to determine the effects on pregnancy, delivery, and neonatal outcomes.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective population-based study utilizing data collected between 2004 and 2014 inclusively, from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project-Nationwide Inpatient Sample. A total of 137,303 multiple pregnancies were analyzed; 130,542 (95%) were non-obese, while 6761 (5%) were obese.

Maternal smoking, including both traditional cigarettes and electronic ones, is a significant modifiable risk factor associated with adverse perinatal outcomes, especially in twin pregnancies. This narrative review aims to explore the impact of maternal smoking on obstetric and neonatal outcomes in twin pregnancies, which inherently carry a higher risk of complications. A literature search was conducted using the PubMed and EMBASE databases, selecting studies published between January 1994 and October 2024.

Unlabelled: Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) and cervical incompetence (CI) are major contributors to preterm birth, a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality.
Background/objectives: Disorders of the vaginal microbiota, such as bacterial vaginosis, have been associated with an increased risk of PROM, CI, and subsequent preterm birth. Probiotics, particularly Lactobacillus strains, have been proposed as a preventive strategy to restore and maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome.

Minimizing central nervous system (CNS) injury from preterm birth depends upon understanding the critical pathways that underlie essential neurodevelopmental and CNS pathophysiology. Signaling by chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1) through its cognate receptor, CXCR2 [(C-X-C motif) receptor 2] is essential for neurodevelopment. Increased CXCR2 signaling, however, is implicated in a variety of uterine and neuropathologies, and their role in the CNS injury associated with perinatal brain injury is poorly defined.

Background And Objectives: Studies have identified increased risks of pregnancy complications in expectant mothers with atopic dermatitis (AD). However, the associations between maternal AD and adverse pregnancy or offspring outcomes in Asians remain unexplored. Our aim was to investigate the relationship between maternal AD and adverse pregnancy and offspring outcomes in Taiwan.

Objective: To assess the neonatal survival rates, maternal complications, neonatal complications, and factors associated with survival rates following periviable premature rupture of membranes (PROM) between 15 and 23 weeks of gestation.
Materials And Methods: The retrospective study included patients with periviable PROM between 15 and 23 weeks of gestation from January 1, 2008, to December 31, 2022. Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify factors influencing neonatal survival.

Introduction: Chronic endometritis (CE) is a prolonged, mild inflammation of the endometrial lining. This study investigated the impact of the impact of antibiotic treatment combined with vaginal on pregnancy outcomes in infertile patients with CE during frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 7,385 patients who underwent FET.

Background: Preterm birth is a significant concern in multiple pregnancies, warranting effective strategies to improve outcomes. Delaying delivery of the second fetus is crucial for reducing perinatal mortality rates.
Case Presentation: In a dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy, one fetus experienced premature rupture of membranes (PROM) at 16+6 weeks gestation.

Introduction: Twin reversed arterial perfusion (TRAP) sequence is a rare complication of monochorionic twin pregnancies characterized by placental anastomoses between a normally developed twin and an acardiac mass. Though several treatment modalities exist, the optimal management strategy is unclear. This study aims to compare the various treatment strategies for TRAP sequence.

Background: Suspected preterm labour (PTL) and prelabour rupture of membranes (PPROM) are common indications for aeromedical retrieval in the Top End, Northern Territory, Australia, where many women reside remotely and preterm birth (< 37 completed weeks of gestation) is common. The primary objective of this study was to determine rate of delivery during the index admission following aeromedical transfers from remote clinics to Royal Darwin Hospital for suspected PTL/PPROM.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of aeromedical transfers for suspected PTL/PPROM from 1 January 2020 to 31 July 2022 was undertaken.

Introduction: The weight of an infant at the time of birth is an indicator of its health. Infants with low birth weight (LBW) are at a higher risk of neonatal mortality and morbidity as well as stunted growth. Low birth weight (LBW) remains a public health concern in developing countries, such as Indonesia.
