Background: Enoxaparin and Fondaparinux are potential anticoagulants which are used peri-operatively in the management of patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). We aimed to compare the adverse clinical outcomes which are associated with the use of these anticoagulants in patients who were treated for ACS.
Methods: Online databases (PubMed/Medline, EMBASE, Cochrane library) were searched for studies which compared differences in clinical outcomes observed with the use of enoxaparin and fondaparinux in patients who were treated peri-operatively for ACS.

Background And Objectives: Although Bangladesh has made significant progress in reducing maternal and child mortality in the last decade, childbirth assisted by skilled attendants has not increased as much as expected. An objective of the Bangladesh National Strategy for Maternal Health 2014-2024 is to reduce maternal mortality to 50/100,000 live births. It also aims to increase deliveries with skilled birth attendants to more than 80% which remains a great challenge, especially in rural areas.

The present study aimed to assess the presence and level of colonization of Candida in patients with oral mucosal lesions, to determine the presence or absence of candidal hyphae in biopsy specimens and to correlate the degree of epithelial dysplasia with the number of colony-forming units of Candida. We performed a prospective study including 50 patients diagnosed as having oral potentially malignant and malignant disorders. These patients had lesions such as leukoplakia, lichen planus, lichenoid reaction, verrucous carcinoma and oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Hyperlipidemia is commonly observed in patients with type 2 diabetes and is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The authors tested the effect of atorvastatin (10 mg/d) on 110 hyperlipidemic type 2 diabetes patients with low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels exceeding 130 mg/d. The primary efficacy end point was the percentage change in LDL-C and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and secondary efficacy included the percentage change in apolipoproteins at weeks 6, 12, and 24.
