Background: Over the years, there has been introduction of newer drugs, like bendamustine and ibrutinib, for the management of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Though these drugs lead to better survival, they are also associated with higher cost. The existing evidence on cost effectiveness of these drugs is from high-income countries, which has limited generalisability for low-income and middle-income counties.

Objective To validate modified Palmoplantar Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (m-PPPASI) in patients affected with PPP and to categorise it based on Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI). Methods In this prospective study, patients with PPP aged > 18 years visiting the psoriasis clinic at a tertiary care centre were included and requested to complete DLQI during each visit at baseline, 2nd week, 6th and 12th week.

The immune response in tubercular uveitis and its implications for treatment: From anti-tubercular treatment to host-directed therapies.

Tubercular uveitis (TB-uveitis) remains a conundrum in the uveitis field, which is mainly related to the diverse clinical phenotypes of TB-uveitis. Moreover, it remains difficult to differentiate whether Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is present in the ocular tissues, elicits a heightened immune response without Mtb invasion in ocular tissues, or even induces an anti-retinal autoimmune response. Introduction: Endometrial cancer is a hormone-dependent malignancy, and sex steroid hormones play a crucial role in its pathogenesis. Recent studies have demonstrated that microRNAs (miRNAs) can regulate the expression of sex steroid hormone receptors and modulate hormone signaling pathways. Our aim is to provide an overview of the current understanding of the role of miRNAs in endometrial cancer regulated by sex steroid hormone pathways.

Feasibility of tobacco cessation intervention at non-communicable diseases clinics: A qualitative study from a North Indian State.

Background: One of the 'best buys' for preventing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) is to reduce tobacco use. The synergy scenario of NCDs with tobacco use necessitates converging interventions under two vertical programs to address co-morbidities and other collateral benefits. Indian Tick Typhus Presenting as Gangrene: a Case Report.

Rickettsial infections are an important cause of acute febrile illness in developing countries. They can rarely present with cutaneous manifestations such as gangrene. Here we report a 12-year-old boy who presented with acute undifferentiated fever, multiorgan dysfunction, and gangrene of bilateral toes and ear lobes.
