Background & Problems: The nursing manpower shortage intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, inadequate clinical internship durations during this period led to recent nursing graduates reflecting insufficient clinical skills. These issues, coupled with the inherent complexity of work in intensive care units (ICUs), have increased stress and decreased self-confidence among new staff, leading to higher turnover rates.

Three years have passed since the Science Council of Japan issued its recommendations entitled "Profession and lifelong learning of pharmacists responsible for sustainable medical care." These recommendations include active involvement in community medicine, securing patient information necessary for pharmaceutical management, harmonizing undergraduate and post-graduate education, reform of the certification system for specialty-credentialed pharmacists, and development of the pharmacist resident system. This paper provides an overview of recent trends and future prospects for pharmacists and pharmacies in Japan.

Mindfulness in Surgical Training (MiST): A Modified Mindfulness Curriculum for Surgical Residents.

Objectives: Residents experience numerous work-related and personal stressors that make it difficult to focus in the operating room, negatively impacting learning and surgical performance. Introduction: Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) is an extremely rare, low-grade, malignant pancreatic tumour with an excellent prognosis. We describe a case of SPN causing obstructive jaundice in a young female, thus mimicking pancreatic adenocarcinoma clinically and radiologically.

Case Presentation: A 32-year-old female presented with abdominal pain for 12 h, icterus, and an epigastric mass measuring 3 × 3 cm.

Introduction The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the suspension of formative Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) at numerous institutions. This resulted in a significant gap in OSCE exposure for junior medical students, including those at our university. Drawing upon our prior experiences with OSCEs, we created a program to evaluate the effectiveness of near-peer teaching (NPT) in preparing third-year medical students to experience and succeed in OSCEs.

Background: Globally, many women express the desire to avoid immediate pregnancy for 24 months postdelivery, and only forty percent use contraceptives during this period. There is an enormous demand for postpartum family planning, particularly in developing countries with low- or middle-income grades. Postpartum intrauterine devices such as long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) are among the most effective methods of family planning in the immediate postpartum period, yet their effectiveness is hindered because of a lack of availability and training.

Effects of Media Literacy Intervention on Weight-Control Products Digital Marketing Targeting Adolescents.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a media literacy education intervention on adolescents' responses to digital marketing of weight-control products, focusing on media literacy, persuasion resistance efficacy, and purchase intention. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved 326 11th-grade students from a municipal high school in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, with 189 students in the intervention group and 137 in the comparison group. Conducted in 2023, the intervention group participated in baseline and follow-up assessments and attended four 50 min media literacy sessions, while the comparison group completed only baseline and follow-up assessments with standard instruction.
