To address this, a structured questionnaire was developed to gather information such as the animal species, main objectives, type of enforcement, output generated and feedback of the result. A luminescence-based method was developed to detect gentamicin using silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) associated with nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs). When gentamicin sulfate interacts with the AgNPs/N-GQDs system, the characteristic blue fluorescence of N-GQDs, which had been previously turned off by AgNPs, is restored. This study investigates the metabolic responses of cancerous (RCC) and non-cancerous (HK2) kidney cells to treatment with Staurosporine (STAU), which has a pro-apoptotic effect, and Bongkrekic acid (BKA), which has an anti-apoptotic effect, individually and in combination, using H NMR metabolomics to identify metabolite markers linked to mitochondrial apoptotic pathways. BKA had minimal metabolic effects in RCC cells, suggesting its role in preserving mitochondrial function without significantly altering metabolic pathways. In contrast, STAU induced substantial metabolic reprogramming in RCC cells, disrupting energy production, redox balance, and biosynthesis, thereby triggering apoptotic pathways.

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) hold large potential in regenerative medicine due to their pluripotency and unlimited self-renewal capacity without the ethical issues of embryonic stem cells. The session on 'Diagnosis and Classification of Vasculitis' featured six oral presentations covering various aspects of vasculitis diagnosis and classification. The application of the Ankara criteria for IgA vasculitis in adults was evaluated, finding that while the criteria showed good sensitivity, their specificity was insufficient, suggesting the need for refinement. A clustering approach to classifying ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) identified five distinct clusters, which improved prediction of disease outcomes.
