Black liquor (BL) is the major bioproduct and biomass fuel in pulp mill processes. However, the high viscosity of BL makes it a challenging material to work with, resulting in issues with evaporators and heat exchangers during its transport and processing. The thermal and rheological properties of BLs from Pinus sp.

The present text presents partial results of the research "Young people with disability due to gunshot wounds: an exploratory study from the Memorialistic Narratives", which aimed to problematize the effects of violence and criminality in the juvenile sphere by investigating, beyond the increase in mortality and incarceration rates, the transformation of these young people into people with disabilities, specifically, people in wheelchairs. To achieve this goal, we used as a method the Memorialistic Narratives and worked on the categories of exclusion, violence and a body marked by trauma. We will reflect on the case of Guilherme, a poor, marginalized young man with a disability and a wheelchair user due to a gunshot wound.

SARS-CoV-2 is an enveloped RNA virus that causes severe respiratory illness in humans and animals. It infects cells by binding the Spike protein to the host's angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). The bat is considered the natural host of the virus, and zoonotic transmission is a significant risk and can happen when humans come into close contact with infected animals.

Aims: To compare the effects of bladder training (BT) versus BT with pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) in women with overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms.
Methods: Randomized controlled clinical trial including women with OAB symptoms, randomized into two groups: BT versus BT + PFMT. For 12 consecutive weeks, the women received home BT.

The post-genomic era has raised a growing demand for efficient procedures to identify protein functions, which can be accomplished by applying machine learning to the characteristics set extracted from the protein. This approach is feature-based and has been the focus of several works in bioinformatics. In this work, we investigated the characteristics of proteins, representing the primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures of the protein, that improve the model's quality by applying dimensionality reduction techniques and using the Support Vector Machine classifier for predicting the enzymes' classes.

Background: The orbicularis oris muscle is extremely important to performing various oral functions, including mastication, swallowing and speech. Infrared thermography is a non-invasive painless technique that does not require either contrast or ionisation. It has been increasingly used in speech-language-hearing therapy in the last years.

Introduction And Hypothesis: The female pelvic floor muscles (PFM) play an important role in sexual function. We hypothesize that there is a relation between PFM strength and sexual function in women with and without sexual dysfunction.
Methods: Retrospective multicentric cross-sectional study including women with and without sexual dysfunction [Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) cutoff point < 26.

Yellowish myotis is a Neotropical vespertilionid bat that presents a seasonal reproduction. The sperm is produced in the Mature stage, stored in the Regressed stage and released in the Rest stage (mating period). Aiming to understand, for the first time, the relationship between testis and epididymis physiology in yellowish myotis reproduction, the spermatogenesis length, sperm production, and seminal parameters were herein evaluated.

Background: The term "symmetrical palatal fibromatosis" was recently suggested to designate bilateral palatal lesions presenting as typically broad, "mirror" images on the posterior lateral region of the hard palate.
Purpose: We report an additional case of this as-yet poorly understood oral lesion in a 67-year-old male patient, with emphasis on differential diagnoses and immunohistochemical characterization.
Case Report: The histopathological examination demonstrated a hypocellular, fibrous connective tissue with prominent thick collagen bundles and few blood vessels.

Objective: To conduct a morphometric evaluation of the incisive canal, adjacent structures, and their anatomic variations in Brazilian individuals.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted using a sample of 157 multislice computed tomography images of adult Brazilian individuals of both sexes (20-96 years). The exam was performed with the RadiAnt DICOM Viewer 4.
Background: Breastfeeding is a fundamental component of health care, and health professionals need to be adequately prepared. As part of the system, health care professionals have the ability to influence the establishment and maintenance of breastfeeding. The global literature regarding the curricular approach or established best practices for health professional education in lactation is inconclusive and lacking in rigor.

Tumor budding (TB) is a promising prognostic marker in many cancers including oral squamous cell carcinoma. The evaluation of TB in preoperative diagnostic biopsies has been proven be possible; therefore, the association of TB with other morphological features can represent an important aid in the previous treatment decision. This study aims to evaluate TB in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) biopsies, assessing its association with other morphological characteristics of the sample.

Myotis levis (yellowish myotis) is a small Neotropical insectivorous vespertilionid bat that provides valuable ecosystem services, such as control of disease vectors and agricultural pests. Aiming to describe the fluctuations of the reproductive organs throughout the year, the gonads and epididymis from 124 adult bats were histologically evaluated. These animals were captured in Santuário do Caraça, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Introduction And Hypothesis: The International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Overactive Bladder Symptoms Quality of Life (ICIQ-OABqol) Module evaluates the quality of life of individuals with overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms, and its use in scientific studies and clinical practice is recommended by the International Continence Society. The aim was to conduct the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the Brazilian Portuguese version of the ICIQ-OABqol (ICIQ-OABqol_portuguese) in individuals with OAB symptoms.
Methods: An observational cross-sectional study was performed at the Clinical Physiotherapy of PUC MINAS in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, between March 2017 and October 2018.

Frustrations, monetary losses, lost time, high fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions are some of the problems caused by traffic jams in urban centers. In an attempt to solve this problem, this article proposes a traffic service to control congestion, named FOXS-Fast Offset Xpath Service. FOXS aims to reduce the problems generated by a traffic jam in a distributed way through roads classification and the suggestion of new routes to vehicles.
