The survey of vaccination hesitancy among the residents in Jinan.

Introduction: Vaccination is an important way to prevent disease, but vaccine hesitancy will impact vaccine coverage and indirectly affect health. This study aims to survey the status of vaccine hesitancy among adults in Jinan.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using the vaccine hesitancy scale among the parents of children and teenagers at hospitals in Jinan, China.

The authors' aim was to determine whether the degradation rate of biomaterials is different in distinct tissues and to clarify the underlying mechanism of degradation. The collagen-chitosan (CG-CS) composite scaffolds were prepared using freeze-drying technology.

DNA context and promoter activity affect gene expression in lentiviral vectors.

Several varieties oflentiviral delivery systems have been used to generate stable cell lines and transgenic animals. Some enhancing elements have been identified to promote stable transgene expression. In this study, we describe that the promoter activity is affected by the lentiviral genomic context.

HIV-1 seroprevalence and subtypes in police recruits from Afar regional state, Ethiopia.

Surveillance for HIV-1 prevalence and subtypes in Afar Region, Ethiopia was performed among police recruits in the year 2000, by unlinked anonymous testing. Of 408 samples tested, 26 (6.4%) appeared positive for HIV-1 antibodies.

[The effect of nimodipine on retinal blood flow in pregnancy induced hypertension].

Objective: To assess the effects of nimodipine on retinal blood flow in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH).

Methods: Fourteen patients were studied with color flow Doppler before and after 30 mg nimodipine administered orally, while other fourteen patients received intravenous magnesium sulfate as control group. Central retinal artery flow velocity waveforms were measured and pulse index (PI) were calculated.
