The presented dataset comes from an experimental study on the autogenous self-healing of high-strength concrete and the development of deep learning metasensor for crack width assessment and self-healing evaluation. Concrete specimens were prepared, matured, cracked, and exposed to self-healing. High-resolution scanning of the specimen surface and scale-invariant image processing were performed, multiple grid lines crossing cracks were established, and brightness degree profiles along grid lines were extracted.

Metallofullerenols and fullerenols have attracted attention due to their remarkable ability to interact with various biologically relevant molecules, paving the way for biomedical applications, ranging from medical imaging techniques to drug carriers, acting with increased efficiency and reduced side effects. In this work, we investigated the effects of two fullerene derivatives, Gd@C(OH) and C(OH), on erythrocyte membrane components under oxidative stress conditions induced by 2,2'-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride (AAPH) as a source of peroxyl radicals. The results demonstrated that gadolinium encapsulation within the fullerene cage enhanced the electron affinity of Gd@C(OH), resulting in stronger antioxidant activity.

Biogeochemical study of spent gunshot fate in the environment: Influence of aggressive bacterial strain.

The hunting of waterfowl may contribute significantly to environmental contamination through the leaching of highly toxic elements (As, Pb, Sb) from spent gunshot deposited on hunting grounds. It is therefore clearly necessary to develop a biogeochemical protocol that might decipher the fate of spent gunshot in the environment. In that context, we present a study that follows the laboratory simulation approach and discusses the methodical pros and cons of the protocol.

Health networking on cancer in the European Union: a 'green paper' by the EU Joint Action on Networks of Expertise (JANE).

Health networking is in principle a formidable instrument to address many challenges posed by cancer, one of the two most common and most lethal non-communicable chronic diseases. The European Union (EU)'s Beating Cancer Plan foresaw the addition of new health networks to the four already existing European Reference Networks on rare cancers: the Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres and several networks of expertise (NoEs), which will be shortly deployed on items as complex and poor-prognosis cancers, palliative care, survivorship, personalised primary and secondary prevention, omic technologies, hi-tech medical resources, and cancers in adolescents and young adults. The community of experts of the EU Joint Action, due to build such NoEs, has drafted this 'green paper', incorporating 13 open questions, in an effort to foster discussion on some open questions about health networking on cancer in the EU.

LCTs may demonstrate various clinical manifestations - from asymptomatic intratesticular swelling through nonspecific symptoms such as loss of libido, impotence or infertility, up to feminizing or virilizing syndromes due to hormonal activity of the tumor.
