Background And Aims: The clinical evolution of acute ischemic stroke patients with isolated proximal posterior cerebral artery (PCA) occlusion treated with medical management alone has been poorly described. We aimed to determine the clinical and radiological factors associated with poor functional outcome in this population.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter international retrospective study of consecutive stroke patients with isolated occlusion of the first (P1) or second (P2) segment of PCA admitted within 6 h from symptoms onset in 26 stroke centers in France, Switzerland, and the United States, treated with the best medical management alone.

Purpose: The respiratory rate-oxygenation (ROX) index is used to predict high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) success in acute respiratory failure, including in Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. However, no study has described its performance to predict failure of alternating sessions of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) and HFNC in severe COVID-19 patients.
Material And Methods: We conducted a monocentric retrospective cohort study.

Background: Despite vaccination, patients receiving anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for multiple sclerosis (MS) or neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) have an increased risk of developing severe or protracted COVID-19. The aim of this study was to describe the effect of COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) in patients with MS or NMOSD exposed to anti-CD20 and infected by SARS-CoV-2.
Methods: This French national, retrospective cohort study was conducted between November 2020 and June 2023.

Background: Achondroplasia, due to a specific pathogenic variant in FGFR3, is the most common viable skeletal dysplasia and the diagnosis is mostly done in the prenatal period. Since 2021, the use of Vosoritide, a specific treatment for achondroplasia, validated in phase 3 placebo-controlled trials, has been recommended to significantly increase the height of children and infants. In the light of these new therapeutic prospects, a complete understanding of the pathophysiology of skeletal damages occurring from foetal life is required.

Objective: Ampullary neoplastic lesions can be resected by endoscopic papillectomy (EP) or transduodenal surgical ampullectomy (TSA) while pancreaticoduodenectomy is reserved for more advanced lesions. We present the largest retrospective comparative study analysing EP and TSA.
Design: Of all patients in the database, lesions with prior interventions, benign histology advanced malignancy (T2 and more), patients with hereditary syndromes and those undergoing pancreatoduodenectomy were excluded.

Background: The diagnostic and prognostic performance of the novel fluid biomarkers brain-derived tau (BD-tau) and phospho-tau217 (p-tau217) in Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is not defined.
Methods: We measured cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma BD-tau, p-tau217, p-tau181, total tau (t-tau), neurofilament light (NfL), and 14-3-3 in 100 CJD patients, 100 with non-prion rapidly progressive dementia (np-RPD), 92 with mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's disease (AD-MCI), and 55 healthy controls (HC).
Results: Plasma BD-tau performed comparably to plasma t-tau but had lower performance than CSF t-tau (p < 0.

Background: A blood-based biomarker that accurately reflects neuronal injury in acute ischemic stroke could be an easily accessible and cost-effective complement to clinical and radiological evaluation. Here, we investigate whether plasma levels of the novel biomarker brain-derived tau (BD-tau) reflect cerebral infarct volumes and whether BD-tau can improve clinical outcome prediction.
Methods: The present study included 713 consecutive cases from two different hospital-based cohorts, the Sahlgrenska Academy Study on Ischemic Stroke (SAHLSIS) and SAHLSIS phase 2 (SAHLSIS2).

The incorporation of the glymphatic clearance system in the study of brain physiology aids in the advancement of innovative diagnostic and treatment strategies for neurological disorders. Exploring the glymphatic system across (from) neurological and (to) metabolic diseases may provide a better link between obesity and neurological disorders. Recent studies indicate the role of metabolic dysfunction as a risk factor for cognitive decline and neurological disorders through the disruption of the glymphatic system.

Purpose: We studied the promising Alzheimer biomarker plasma tau phosphorylated at threonine 231 (p-tau231) in a cohort of cardiac arrest patients who survived to intensive care to predict long-term neurological outcomes. We also compared it to total tau (t-tau), which has demonstrated predictive abilities of neurological outcome post-cardiac arrest.
Methods: This observational multicentre cohort study included 425 patients admitted to intensive care after cardiac arrest.

Background And Objectives: Post-traumatic brain injury (TBI) lesions, which combine brain atrophy and white matter injuries, can lead to progressive post-traumatic encephalopathy. However, the specific involvement of the cerebellum, which participates in cognitive, executive, and sensory functions, has been little studied. The aim of this work was to explore the long-term cerebellar consequences of severe TBI.

Introduction: Heterozygous mutations in the progranulin gene (GRN) leading to decreased progranulin levels are one of the most frequent causes of inherited frontotemporal dementia (FTD). We evaluated progranulin levels in dried blood spots from capillary finger-stick collection (DBS).
Methods: Paired venous Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) plasma and DBS samples were collected from each participant with or without pathogenic GRN mutations.

Background: Isolated anterior cerebral artery occlusions (ACAo) in patients with acute ischemic stroke present significant challenges due to their rarity. The efficacy and safety of endovascular therapy (EVT) in comparison with best medical therapy (BMT) for ACAo remains unclear. This study aimed to assess the outcomes of these treatments.

Purpose: Grade 3 meningiomas, although rare, are associated with high morbidity and mortality. The respective impacts of extent of surgical resection and adjuvant radiotherapy are still debated. Moreover, anaplastic meningiomas are studied in heterogenous cohort of de novo and progressive anaplastic tumors.

Introduction: A growing literature has shown that exposure to adverse life events during childhood or adolescence is associated with the presence of psychotic-like experiences (PLEs), which is in turn associated with the risk of psychotic outcomes. Ruminative thinking, i.e.
