Background: Depression and circadian rhythm disruptions are non-cognitive neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) that can appear at any stage of the Alzheimer's disease (AD) continuum. Evidence suggests that NPS are linked to AD pathophysiology and hippocampal dysfunction.
Objective: To examine structural white matter (WM) connectivity and its association with gray matter (GM) atrophy and to identify specific AD-related neural networks linked to NPS in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).

Inflammatory form of Waldenström macroglobulinemia (iWM) predicts outcomes after immuno-chemotherapy and Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors, but its origin is unknown. Here, we unravel increased clonal hematopoiesis in patients with iWM (61% vs 23% in noninflammatory WM), suggesting a contribution of environmental cells to iWM.

Background: A wide range of liquid embolic agents has been used in endovascular treatment (EVT) of dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs) and cerebral arteriovenous malformations (cAVMs). Newer liquid embolics, Squid (Balt) and PHIL (MicroVention), aim to improve the safety and efficacy of EVT of dAVFs and cAVMs.
Objective: To assess the safety and efficacy of EVT of cAVMs and dAVFs using Squid or PHIL as an embolic agent.

Background And Objective: The role of anatomical factors in predicting outcomes after radical prostatectomy (RP) remains unclear. This review aims to evaluate the impact of various anatomical factors on the perioperative outcomes of patients undergoing RP for localized prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted through January 2024 using the PubMed/Medline, Embase, and Web of Science databases.

Background: Autoantibodies are found in up to 80 % of patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) and are associated with distinct clinical phenotypes. Autoantibodies targeting cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase 1A (anti-NT5C1A) are currently the only known serum biomarker for the subgroup inclusion body myositis (IBM), although detected even in other autoimmune diseases. The aim of the study was to identify new autoimmune targets in IIM.

Background And Objective: Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) poses a significant clinical challenge, particularly when failing bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) therapy, necessitating alternative treatments. Despite radical cystectomy being the recommended treatment, many patients are unfit or unwilling to undergo this invasive procedure, highlighting the need for effective bladder-sparing therapies. This review aims to summarize and report the evidence on the efficacy and to estimate the costs of bladder-preserving strategies used in NMIBC recurrence after failure of intravesical BCG therapy.

Background: Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) at interval cytoreductive surgery for ovarian cancer improves overall survival but its role in recurrent disease is uncertain. We aimed to compare outcomes in patients treated with or without HIPEC during surgery for recurrent ovarian cancer.
Methods: The multicentre, open-label, randomised, phase 3 CHIPOR trial was conducted at 31 sites in France, Belgium, Spain, and Canada, and enrolled patients with first relapse of epithelial ovarian cancer at least 6 months after completing platinum-based chemotherapy.

Background: Suboptimal treatment delays is known to impact prognosis of patients with cancer but optimal timing in specific subgroups remains poorly studied. This study aimed to analyze treatment delays in young women treated for a breast cancer (BC) on and its impact on their prognosis using French Nationwide Data.
Methods: Using the CAREPAT-YBC Cohort based on the French National Healthcare System Database, we analyzed disease-free survival (DFS) in 22,093 young women (18-45 years) who underwent either surgery-chemotherapy-radiotherapy pathway (adjuvant setting, 15,433 patients) or chemotherapy-surgery-radiotherapy pathway (neoadjuvant setting, 6660 patients), according to delays between the different pathways.

Background And Objective: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays a critical role in prostate cancer diagnosis, but is limited by variability in interpretation and diagnostic accuracy. This systematic review evaluates the current state of deep learning (DL) models in enhancing the automatic detection, localization, and characterization of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) on MRI.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted across Medline/PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect for studies published between January 2020 and September 2023.

Introduction: We aimed to investigate which factors affect plasma biomarker levels via amyloid beta (Aβ)-independent or Aβ-dependent effects and improve the predictive performance of these biomarkers for Aβ positivity on positron emission tomography (PET).
Methods: A total of 2935 participants underwent blood sampling for measurements of plasma Aβ42/40 ratio, phosphorylated tau 217 (p-tau217; ALZpath), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), and neurofilament light chain (NfL) levels using single-molecule array and Aβ PET. Laboratory findings were collected using a routine blood test battery.

Objectives: To develop evidenced recommendations to allow the global systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) advocacy community to effectively advocate for change and improve care for patients with SLE.
Methods: A Global Working Group consisting of representatives from patient advocacy groups, professional organisations, and the SLE healthcare community defined key areas of unmet need in patients with SLE. Targeted principles for each area of unmet need guided a literature review to investigate the current global situation, pre-existing advocacy efforts, and best practices from other therapy areas.

For many years, it has been widely accepted in the psychiatric field that clinical practice cannot be reduced to finely tuned statistical prediction systems utilizing diverse clinical data. Clinicians are recognized for their unique and irreplaceable roles. In this brief historical overview, viewed through the lens of artificial intelligence (AI), we propose that comprehending the reasoning behind AI can enhance our understanding of clinical reasoning.

In patients with diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, particularly below the knee, is associated with medial arterial calcification. This is a frequent and potentially serious complication, affecting all types of diabetes. In recent years, our understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical significance of medial arterial calcification has improved considerably.
