Acrylamides are hydrolytically stable at pH lower than 2, and were shown to preserve bonded interface integrity with two-step, total etch adhesives. The objective of this study was to leverage those two characteristics in self-etching primers containing the acidic monomer 10-MDP and test the microtensile bond strength before and after incubation with incubation. Acidic primers (10 wt % 10-methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate─10-MDP; 45 wt % ,-diethyl-1,3-bis(acrylamido)propane─DEBAAP, or 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate─HEMA; 45 wt %, glycerol-dimethacrylate─GDMA) and adhesives (DEBAAP or HEMA/10-MDP/UDMA 45/10/45 wt %) were made polymerizable by the addition of 0.

Background: The central sensitization inventory (CSI) is a questionnaire that has been widely used as a tool for assessing symptoms associated with sensitization. However, its ability to identify individuals with this phenomenon has recently been questioned. The aim of this study was to assess the correlation of CSI with psychosocial and psychophysical factors in patients with painful TMD diagnosed according to diagnostic criteria for temporomandibular disorders (DC/TMD) and asymptomatic controls, as well as to determine the influence of these variables on the CSI scores variations.

To evaluate the physical properties of enamel submitted to hydrogen peroxide (HP) incorporated with titanium dioxide nanoparticles (NP) co-doped with nitrogen and fluorine and irradiated with violet LED light (LT). Enamel-dentin disks were randomly allocated (T) into groups, according to HP (HP6, HP15, or HP35) and NP (no NP, 5NP, or 10NP) concentrations, and irradiated or not with LT. A negative control (NC) group was set.

This review article critically examines the pivotal role of chromatin organization in gene regulation, cellular differentiation, disease progression and aging. It explores the dynamic between the euchromatin and heterochromatin, coded by a complex array of histone modifications that orchestrate essential cellular processes. We discuss the pathological impacts of chromatin state misregulation, particularly in cancer and accelerated aging conditions such as progeroid syndromes, and highlight the innovative role of epigenetic therapies and artificial intelligence (AI) in comprehending and harnessing the histone code toward personalized medicine.

Hydrolytically and enzymatically-stable multi-acrylamides have been proposed to increase the long-term durability of dental adhesive interfaces as alternatives to methacrylates. The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanical and biochemical properties of experimental adhesives containing multi-functional acrylamides concerning collagen reinforcement and metalloproteinases (MMP) activity. Multi-functional acrylamides, TMAAEA (Tris[(2-methylaminoacryl) ethylamine) and DEBAAP (N,N-Diethyl-1,3-bis(acrylamido) propane), along with the commercially available DMAM (N,N-dimethylacrylamide) (monofunctional acrylamide) and HEMA (2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (monofunctional methacrylate - control) were tested for stability against enzymatic hydrolysis by cholesterol esterase/pseudocholinesterase (PC/PCE) solutions for up to 30 days.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare neoplasm known for its indolent clinical course, risk of perineural invasion, and late onset of distant metastasis. Due to the scarcity of samples and the tumor's rarity, progress in developing effective treatments has been historically limited. To tackle this issue, a high-throughput screening of epigenetic drugs was conducted to identify compounds capable of disrupting the invasive properties of the tumor and its cancer stem cells (CSCs).

In dentistry, various animal models are used to evaluate adhesive systems, dental caries and periodontal diseases. Metalloproteinases (MMPs) are enzymes that degrade collagen in the dentin matrix and are categorized in over 20 different classes. Collagenases and gelatinases are intrinsic constituents of the human dentin organic matrix fibrillar network and are the most abundant MMPs in this tissue.
