Denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) in Chinese postmenopausal osteoporotic women: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter phase III study.

Objectives: This study assessed the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity profiles of a denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) in Chinese postmenopausal osteoporotic women with a high risk of fracture.

Methods: In this multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial, 448 postmenopausal women aged 50-85 years with osteoporosis were enrolled at 49 centers in China and were randomly assigned (3:1) to receive 60 ​mg of the denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) or placebo subcutaneously every 6 months for 1 year. Lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) change was the primary endpoint.

Objective: Cholangiocarcinoma is a common malignant tumor that occurs in the bile duct system, which can be treated by using the endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (ERCP). This study was aimed at exploring the therapeutic effect of ERCP with metal stent and plastic stent for cholangiocarcinoma.

Methods: The clinical data of 71 patients with cholangiocarcinoma treated by ERCP in our hospital from June 2020 to October 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.

Laparoscopic Versus Abdominal Radical Hysterectomy for Cervical Cancer: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

Background: Laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (LRH) and open abdominal radical hysterectomy (ARH) have been used for cervical cancer treatment. We aimed to perform a meta-analysis to compare the efficacy and safety of LRH and ARH in the treatment of cervical cancer to provide reliable evidence to the clinical cervical cancer treatment.

Methods: Two investigators independently searched PubMed and other databases for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing LRH and ARH for cervical cancer treatment up to May 31, 2022.

Background: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a malignant hematologic malignancy that can progress to blast phase with a myeloid or lymphoid phenotype. Some patients with CML can also progress to blast crisis phase; however, the transformation of CML into Philadelphia-positive lymphoma is extremely rare.

Case Summary: We present a patient with CML who experienced a sudden transformation to anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL) after 7 mo of treatment with imatinib, during which she had achieved partial cytogenetic response as well as early molecular response.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the multiple interactions between therapeutic ultrasound (TUS), microbubbles (MB), and recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (r-tPA) by using three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound to examine the impact of thrombolysis with r-tPA on epicardial recanalization and microcirculation in patients with acute ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

Methods: Acute thrombotic occlusion of the left anterior descending (LAD) artery was induced in 32 Bama pigs, who were fed a high-cholesterol diet and randomized into four groups: (I) a 3D-sono-assisted-thrombolysis (3D/TUS + MB + r-tPA) group; (II) a 3D/TUS + MB group; (III) a full-dose r-tPA group; and (IV) a 3D/TUS alone group. Epicardial angiographic recanalization rate, microcirculation in the at-risk myocardium, ST-segment elevation on electrocardiogram, and changes in the at-risk myocardium and the myocardial infarct area were compared between the groups.

Background: Perinatal blood including umbilical cord blood and placental blood are splendid sources for allogeneic NK cell generation with high cytotoxicity of combating pathogenic microorganism and malignant tumor. Despite the generation of NK cells from the aforementioned perinatal blood, yet the systematical and detailed information of the biological and transcriptomic signatures of UC-NKs and P-NKs before large-scale clinical applications in disease remodeling is still largely obscure.

Methods: Herein, we took advantage of the "3IL"-based strategy for high-efficient generation of NK cells from umbilical cord blood and placental blood (UC-NKs and P-NKs), respectively.

Our work aims to investigate the functions of a natural compound, Albiflorin (AF) in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury. The cerebral IR models were established by OGD/R in PC12 cells and MCAO/IR in rats. The cells in a glucose-free medium were placed in an anaerobic chamber containing 95% N₂ and 5% CO₂ for 3h at 37°C, returned to a normal medium, and incubated for 24h to accomplish OGD/R.
