- This study focuses on developing the Malaysian Diagnosis Related Group (MY-DRG) pharmacy service weight at University Kebangsaan Malaysia-Medical Center (UKMMC) by assessing pharmacy service costs associated with different MY-DRG groups.
- Using a combined costing methodology, the research finds that drugs and supplies account for 86% of total pharmacy costs, while overhead and staff costs contribute significantly less.
- Of the 789 MY-DRG case-mix groups, 450 were used in the study, with the Lymphoma & Chronic Leukemia group showing the highest pharmacy service weight, while the Circumcision group had the lowest.
