The paper describes a case of eosinophilic granuloma of the parietal bone in a 32-year-old man. Histological examination revealed a large number of bean-shaped Langerhans cell histiocytes with lobed nuclei and nuclear grooves. The histiocytes alternated with the foci of obvious eosinophilic infiltration and with eosinophilic microabscesses.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe present two cases of surgical treatment of patients with coronary artery steal syndrom and multifocal atherosclerosis, who previously underwent coronary artery bypass grafting using left internal mammary artery. In both cases carotid-subclavian bypass was performed through supraclavicular access using synthetic prosthesis. This method allowed to restore blood flow in the left internal mammary artery, eliminate recurrent angina pectoris, and improve patients quality of life.

Aim: To compare an efficacy of primary surgical (epicardial bipolar pulmonary veins isolation) and pharmacological (amiodarone) prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation.
Material And Methods: The study included 117 patients with coronary artery disease without previous paroxysms of atrial fibrillation who were randomized into 3 groups. The first (I) group (n=39) included patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting without radiofrequency ablation of pulmonary veins and prophylactic amiodarone administration.

Low back pain (LBP) is accompanied by the development of pain syndrome that spreads into the leg in 25-57% of patients. This is an important factor predicting the risk of transition of pain from acute to chronic and is an indirect indicator of disease severity. It is often impossible to specify the primary mechanism facilitated pain irradiation in lumboischialgia because many structures can cause analogous symptoms.

Aim: To present an experience of intraoperative manufacture of the valved conduit in aortic root surgery in the Department of Cardiac Surgery of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
Material And Methods: In our department aortic valve and ascending aortic replacement using intraoperatively manufactured valved conduit was performed in 11 patients for the period 2012-2016. Technical aspects, choice of vascular prosthesis size and type of fixation to achieve optimal hemodynamics and adequate impermeability of stitches are described.

Aim: To present the results of PRP-adipose grafts implanatation.
Material And Methods: The study included 25 patients after transplantation of autologous adipose tissue. Autotransplantation was performed to correct volume defects of breast and to restore lost volume after polyacrylamide gel removal in 4 patients; after mastectomy in 6 cases; after complicated replacement using silicone endoprostheses in 11 patients; after previous reduction in 2 cases; after augmentation mammoplasty in 2 cases.
Aim: To investigate clinical, diagnostic and surgical aspects of papillary fibroelastomas of the heart.
Material And Methods: Clinical, diagnostic and surgical aspects of papillary fibroelastomas of the heart were analyzed in 12 patients.
Results: Diagnosis was obtained using two-dimensional echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography or computed tomography.
