Background: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint and associated structures. Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) has emerged as a potential intervention for TMDs, but its comparative effectiveness against standard treatments remains unclear. This systematic review aimed to evaluate and compare the efficacy of CBT versus standard treatment interventions in managing TMDs.

The quality of life in orthognathic surgery: surgery first versus traditional orthognathic surgery evaluation.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the differences in terms of Quality of life and the degree of satisfaction with the result obtained between the two groups of patients treated with the orthodontic first approach and surgery first approach, through administered questionnaires inserted in the post-operative phase.

Methods: A total of 40 patients who previously underwent orthognathic surgery were included in this study, 20 treated with the orthodontic first approach and 20 treated with the Surgery First Approach. The impact of orthognathic surgery on patients' quality of life was recorded through the administration of the OHIP-14 test, FACE-Q test scale and FACE-Q test.

Material And Methods: Using three LED curing units (3M ESPE Elipar, Ivoclar bluephase, and Woodpecker I LED light cure), 120 precoated metal brackets (Gemini series, 3M Unitek) were cured. The shear bond strength was recorded using a universal testing machine.

Effect of Drying Protocols on the Bond Strength of Bioceramic, MTA and Resin-based Sealer Obturated Teeth.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the bond strength and thereafter analyze the mode of failure of the three sealers applied to smear free radicular dentine with final drying using 70% isopropyl alcohol and paper points.

Materials And Methods: A total of sixty root canals were prepared and then segregated into two groups ( = 30) as per the drying protocol, namely paper points or 70% isopropyl alcohol. Purpose: Anodized implants with moderately rough surface were introduced around 2000. Whether these implants enhanced biologic effect to improve the environment for better osseointegration was unclear. The purpose of this article was to review the literature available on anodized surface in terms of their clinical success rate and bone response in patients till now.

Objective: The study explores the association between severity of illness (positive, negative, depressive and cognitive symptoms) and extra pyramidal symptoms (EPS) with dental caries, periodontal disease and prosthetic needs among patients with schizophrenia.

Material And Methods: A total of 71 schizophrenic patients diagnosed based on ICD-10 criteria participated in the study. Clinical Global Impression - Schizophrenia (CGI-SCH) scale was used to evaluate positive, negative, depressive, cognitive symptoms and overall severity of schizophrenia.
