[Efficiency analysis of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity after brain injury: a multicenter retrospective cohort study].

Objective: To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) on paroxysmal sympathetic hyperexcitation (PSH) after brain injury.

Methods: A multicenter retrospective study was conducted. Fifty-six patients with PSH who received HBO treatment from four hospitals in Henan Province from January 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the HBO group, and 36 patients with PSH who did not receive HBO treatment from Zhengzhou People's Hospital from May 2018 to December 2020 were selected as the control group.

Clinical nurses' work procrastination and smartphone addiction: a potential profile study.

Background: In the medical field, effective time management by clinical nurses is crucial for enhancing the quality of patient care. However, in recent years, with increasing work pressure for clinical nurses, procrastination has become a prevalent issue. Many nurses use smartphones as a way to alleviate stress and manage emotions, but excessive smartphone use could exacerbate procrastination, thereby jeopardizing patient safety and healthcare quality.

Predictive Value of Plasma PCSK9 Levels for Degree of Atherosclerosis and Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events in Older Adult Patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

Purpose: This study investigated the influence of plasma proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9 (PCSK9) levels on the degree of atherosclerosis and major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in older adults with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Methods: The degree of atherosclerosis severity was assessed by the standard Gensini score quartile method. According to the degree of atherosclerosis, patients were divided into mild (0-24 points; n=84), moderate (25-53 points; n=86), and severe groups (≥54 points; n=84) and then categorized as MACCE (n=30) or non-MACCE (n=224) according to 6-month follow-up data.

Objective: This study aims to use Meta-analytical structural equation modeling (MASEM) to clarify the relationship between burden, depression, and quality of life in informal caregivers of stroke survivors.

Data Sources: The databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database, Wan Fang Database, and Chinese Biomedical Database were comprehensively searched before January 16, 2023.

Study Selection: Two researchers performed an independent initial search by using a unified search strategy.

Effect of Mechanical Loading on Bone Regeneration in HA/β-TCP/SF Scaffolds Prepared by Low-Temperature 3D Printing .

It has been well demonstrated that a dynamic culture environment improves tissue-engineered bone formation , but little is known about how cyclical mechanical loading induced bone formation in scaffolds . To mimic the organic and inorganic components and multilevel structure of a bony microenvironment, hydroxyapatite/β tricalcium phosphate/silk fibroin(HA/β-TCP/SF) composite scaffolds with macro- and micropores were fabricated in this study. The mechanical properties and structure of the scaffolds were adjusted based on the ratio of organic and inorganic components and three-dimensional (3D) printing parameters.

The relationship between ethical leadership and nurse well-being: The mediating role of workplace mindfulness.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between nurses' well-being and their ethical leadership, and the mediating role of workplace mindfulness in this relationship.

Design: This was a quantitative cross-sectional study.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in three tertiary hospitals in central China from May 2022 to July 2022, and the Nurses' Workplace Mindfulness, Ethical Leadership and Well-Being Scale were distributed and collected via the Internet.

Psychological Resilience and Career Success of Female Nurses in Central China: The Mediating Role of Craftsmanship.

Background: Nurses' career success is an important factor affecting the quality of nursing services and the stability of the nursing workforce, and enhancing nurses' career success level is of key significance to the development of the nursing discipline. As psychological resilience and craftsmanship are important spiritual traits in the process of nurses' career development, it is important to understand the mechanism of their effects on nurses' career success level.

Objective: To explore the current situation of craftsmanship, psychological resilience and career success levels of female nurses in central China, and to verify the mediating role of craftsmanship between psychological resilience and female career success using structural equation model.
