Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of the Herbal Medicine C-117 (C-117) formula in the treatment of carotid atherosclerotic vulnerable plaques.

Methods: This was a prospective, single-centre, randomized, double-blind study. A total of 120 eligible patients were randomly divided into two groups to receive the C-117 formula or placebo.

Factors related to the size of venous leg ulcers: A cross-sectional study.

Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) are an important health problem, and the size of ulcers often affects patient care, healing time, and quality of life. However, the risk factors associated with ulcer size have been rarely reported. The aim of this study was to establish the risk factors for the size of venous ulceration by analyzing the patient demographics and the results of duplex ultrasonography.

Prevalence and distribution of human papillomavirus genotypes among women with high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion and invasive cervical cancer in Ganzhou, China.

Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection can lead to the development of cervical cancer. This study assessed the genotype distribution of HPV of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) and invasive cervical cancer (ICC) in Ganzhou population.

Methods: A total of 935 females who got HPV testing from January 2016 to July 2018 in the maternal and child health hospital of Ganzhou were enrolled in the study, including 806 HSIL and 129 ICC.

A total of 20 Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: Normal control (NC) group and acute liver injury groups (24, 48 and 72 h). Acute liver injury rat models were established using D‑amino galactose, and the serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (Tbil) and albumin were determined using an automatic biochemical analyzer.

In this study, the level of CLEC3A expression in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) datasets was analyzed.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to investigate the expression and function of interleukin-4 receptor (IL-4R) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Methods: We collected 40 pairs of human HCC and adjacent normal tissue specimens and examined the expression levels of IL-4R. After IL-4R knockdown in HCC cell lines, cell proliferation and invasion ability were examined.
