mfeeU-Net: A multi-scale feature extraction and enhancement U-Net for automatic liver segmentation from CT Images.

Medical image segmentation of the liver is an important prerequisite for clinical diagnosis and evaluation of liver cancer. For automatic liver segmentation from Computed Tomography (CT) images, we proposed a Multi-scale Feature Extraction and Enhancement U-Net (mfeeU-Net), incorporating Res2Net blocks, Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) blocks, and Edge Attention (EA) blocks. The Res2Net blocks which are conducive to extracting multi-scale features of the liver were used as the backbone of the encoder, while the SE blocks were also added to the encoder to enhance channel information.

This study intends to investigate nivolumab's efficacy and adverse effects in combination with lenvatinib in treating advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). For this purpose, ninety-two patients with unresectable advanced HCC admitted were enrolled and were divided into the control group (N=46) and the observation group (N=46) according to the random number table. The control group was treated with lenvatinib while the observation group was treated with nivolumab combined with lenvatinib.

: To investigate the digital measurement method for the plate trajectory of dynamic anterior plate-screw system for quadrilateral plate (DAPSQ), and then design a third-generation DAPSQ plate that conforms to the needs of the Chinese population through collating a large sample anatomical data. : Firstly, the length of the pubic region, quadrilateral region, iliac region, and the total length of the DAPSQ trajectory were measured by a digital measurement approach in 22 complete pelvic specimens. Then, the results were compared with the direct measurement of pelvic specimens to verify the reliability of the digital measurement method.

FDG PET/CT in a Case of Lung Adenocarcinoma With Diffuse Cavitary Intrapulmonary Metastases.

We describe FDG PET/CT findings in a case of lung adenocarcinoma with diffuse cavitary intrapulmonary metastases at initial diagnosis. High-resolution CT of the chest showed the primary solid tumor in the right upper lobe and numerous cavitating metastases ranging from a few millimeters to 1 cm in the bilateral lungs. FDG PET/CT showed intense activity of the primary tumor, diffuse activity of the lung metastases, and hypermetabolic metastases in the mediastinal lymph nodes and bones.

The use of multiplex imaging techniques to characterize tuberculous granuloma heterogeneity.

Caseous granulomas are pathological hallmarks of tuberculosis (TB), and increasing evidence suggests that TB granuloma composition is highly temporally and spatially heterogenous in both animal models and humans. Traditional pathological techniques are limited in their ability to reveal the heterogeneity present in TB granulomas. Multiplex tissue imaging tools combined with powerful, high resolution spatial analysis have enabled the detection of various cell phenotypes, aiding in the visualization of the granuloma complex and revealing the interactions between immune cells and nonimmune cells.
