Biomed Environ Sci

November 2016

The Key Laboratory of Trace Element Nutrition MOH, National Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Beijing 100050, China.

Article Synopsis
  • Iron deficiency anemia is a major nutritional issue globally, but current diagnostic cut-off values are based on older children and may not fit infants.
  • The study focused on establishing appropriate iron status cut-off values specifically for Chinese infants by analyzing blood samples from pregnant women and their normal, breastfed infants.
  • Blood tests evaluated various iron-related metrics, and the study aimed to set cut-off values based on the 95% confidence interval for accurate assessments.

T lymphoma invasion and metastasis 1 (), a guanine nucleotide exchange factor, was originally identified as an invasion- and metastasis-inducing gene in T lymphoma cells. High expression levels of the human gene have been found in numerous human malignancies, suggesting a potential role as a modifier of tumor initiation and progression. However, little is known about the status of in ovarian carcinoma.
