Background: This study aimed to analyze the long-term efficacy and late adverse reactions of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) combined with recombinant human endostatin (Endostar) versus IMRT combined with concurrent chemotherapy (CCT) in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of twenty-three NPC stage III-IVA patients treated with IMRT + Endostar or IMRT + CCT. Patients in the IMRT + Endostar group (n=10) received a total of 2 cycles of Endostar, while patients in the IMRT + CCT group (n=13) received a total of 3 cycles of concurrent cisplatin chemotherapy.

The present study is to compare the efficacy and adverse effects of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) combined with endostar and IMRT combined with concurrent chemotherapy on locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).A total of 23 patients with stage III-IVa NPC were included in the present study, and randomly divided into experimental group (10 cases treated with IMRT + endostar) and control group (13 cases treated with IMRT + chemotherapy of cis-dichlorodiamineplatinum). Endostar was intravenously administered from the first day of IMRT.

Citrulline (Cit) supplementation was proposed to serve as a therapeutic intervention to restore arginine (Arg) concentrations and improve related functions in sepsis. This study explored whether citrulline had positive effects on liver injury and cytokine release in the early stages of sepsis. The cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) model was utilized in our study.

Raltitrexed has shown efficacy and safety in many tumor types; however, the clinical data on the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma is rare. In this report, we aim to assess the efficacy and safety of raltitrexed plus oxaliplatin (OXA)-based transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). Patients with uHCC were recruited from multi-centers in China and assigned randomly to raltitrexed+OXA-based (n=76), fluorouracil+OXA-based (n=76), and doxorubicin+OXA-based (n=75) TACE treatment.

Objective: To reveal the relationship between iodine nutrition and the change of spectrum on thyroid diseases through comparing the different iodine environments pre- and post- the universal salt iodization(USI)campaign.

Methods: To compare the urinary iodine concentration between 1000 normal people and 5998 patients with thyroid disease who had undergone surgical operations, from 4 major cities, including iodine deficient and rich areas of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Results: After USI was put into practice, the urinary iodine concentration of patients with thyroid appeared higher than those of normal people(324.

Objective: To study the incisal jaw morphology of subjects with normal occlusion and to discuss the relationship between different vertical facial skeletal types and different incisal jaw cluster types.

Methods: After studied by radiographic cephalometry, the incisal jaw morphology of 169 subjects with normal occlusion in early permanent dentition were analyzed by K-mean cluster analysis.

Results: Morphology of maxillary or mandibular incisal jaws could be divided into four types separately, including division I, division II, division III and division N.
