Background And Objective: Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients treated with additional bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) may become unresponsive to BCG. Recently, sequential intravesical gemcitabine and docetaxel (gem/doce) are being used for NMIBC. This study aims to compare oncologic outcomes between sequential intravesical gem/doce versus additional BCG in patients with BCG-unresponsive NMIBC.

Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorder with generally favorable outcomes and infrequent extracutaneous spread, usually limited to local lymph nodes. However, there may be extensive histologic overlap with more aggressive CD30+ lymphomas, such as large cell transformation of mycosis fungoides or secondary skin involvement by anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Objective: Patients are often observed overnight after ventricular shunt revision for hydrocephalus. We believe that a same-day discharge after a shunt revision is safe in the appropriate population. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate patient population and the safety profile for a same-day discharge following a ventricular shunt revision.

We aimed to develop a comprehensive proton relative biological effectiveness (RBE) model based on accumulated cell survival data in the literature. Our approach includes four major components: (1) Eligible cell survival data with various linear energy transfers (LETs) in the Particle Irradiation Data Ensemble (PIDE) database (72 datasets in four cell lines); (2) a cell survival model based on Poisson equation, with and defined as the ability to generate and repair damage, respectively, to replace the classic linear-quadratic model for fitting the cell survival data; (3) hypothetical linear relations of and on LET, or and ; and (4) a multi-curve fitting (MCF) approach to fit all cell survival data into the survival model and derive the , , , and values for each cell line. Dependences of these parameters on cell type were thus determined and finally a comprehensive RBE model was derived.

Leptomeningeal metastatic disease (LMD), encompassing entities of 'meningeal carcinomatosis', neoplastic meningitis' and 'leukaemic/lymphomatous meningitis', arises secondary to the metastatic dissemination of cancer cells from extracranial and certain intracranial malignancies into the leptomeninges and cerebrospinal fluid. The clinical burden of LMD has been increasing secondary to more sensitive diagnostics, aggressive local therapies for discrete brain metastases, and improved management of extracranial disease with targeted and immunotherapeutic agents, resulting in improved survival. However, owing to drug delivery challenges and the unique microenvironment of LMD, novel therapies against systemic disease have not yet translated into improved outcomes for these patients.

In 2017, the American College of Radiology introduced the US Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) as a framework for US surveillance of patients at risk for developing hepatocellular carcinoma. This has aided in the standardization of technique, clinical reporting, patient management, data collection, and research.
