Clinical correlation of optic nerve head analysis performed by SD-OCT in children with pseudopapilledema and papilledema.

Purpose: To investigate some diagnostic indicators in optic nerve head (ONH) analysis of children with 'Pseudopapilledema' and 'Papilledema' by Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT).

Methods: Medical records of 52 children with optic disc swelling, who were followed up by the departments of pediatric neurology and ophthalmology between May 2018 and May 2019 were reviewed retrospectively. Cases were classified as group 1 (Papilledema secondary to Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension) including 54 eyes of 27 cases, group 2 (Pseudopapilledema secondary to bilateral optic disc drusen) including 50 eyes of 25 cases and control group.

Ozone gas applied through nebulization as adjuvant treatment for lung respiratory diseases due to COVID-19 infections: a prospective randomized trial.

The objective of this study was to provide lung disinfection by nebulizing ozone gas with distilled water and olive oil for patients who have clinical symptoms due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The study attempted to reduce the viral load of COVID-19 in the lungs of patients, to provide a faster response to medical treatment. Between August 2020 and September 2020, 30 patients who met the study criteria were prospectively evaluated.

Is 'Omega Sign' anatomical endoscopic enucleation of the prostate technique reproducible?

We aimed to evaluate the learning curve of the surgically standardised 'Omega Sign' anatomical endoscopic enucleation (AEEP) of the prostate surgery technique for junior surgeons. This study is a retrospective comparison of cases that underwent AEEP by a mentor surgeon and three junior surgeons who have completed their learning curve. A video-based laser enucleation of the prostate assessment tool (LEAT) composed of 8 steps of the technique was used to assess a senior surgeon and junior surgeons' surgical compatibility and consistency.

Laser enucleation for prostates larger than 100 mL: Comparison of HoLEP and ThuLEP.

In our study, we aimed to show the relationship between CI-AKI and malnutrition status in elderly patients over 65 years of age with chronic coronary artery disease (CAD).

Methods: This was a retrospective study of low-to-moderate myopic eyes treated with t-PRK. The files of 46 low-to-moderate myopic patients (90 eyes; myopia up to -5D) were included in the study.

Are the effects of hemodialysis on ocular parameters similar during and after a hemodialysis session?

Purpose: To evaluate the changes in several ocular parameters, including choroidal thickness, during and after hemodialysis.

Methods: Twenty-seven eyes of 27 patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis were included. The patients underwent an ophthalmic examination, including intraocular pressure, central corneal thickness, iridocorneal angle, subfoveal choroidal thickness, and blood pressure, just before a hemodialysis session, during the second hour of the session, and half an hour after the end of the session.
