Background: The gallbladder polyp (GP) is an accepted risk factor of gallbladder cancer and an indication for laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). Generally, the pathologic result of GPs is benign, but it is difficult to distinguish a potential malignancy or a stone without pathological evaluation. This study compared the indication and pathologic result of cholecystectomy performed due to GP in our clinic.

Background/aim: Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is the most common cause of secondary hip arthrosis. The primary purpose of this study was to assess the results of an oversized hemispherical cup via the press-fit technique used for Crowe type II and III DDH without screws and to determine if adequate medialization and initial stability of the acetabular component would allow us to avoid screw and graft use.

Asymtomatic Mass In The Tail Of The Pancreas: Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen (IPAS).

We present a 48-year-old male patient with a mass in the tail of the pancreas on abdominal ultrasonography. The lesion was suspicious for a well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and spleen preserved distal pancreatectomy surgery was performed. It was diagnosed as intrapancreatic accessory spleen (IPAS) after pathological examination.

Prospective analysis of febrile neutropenia patients with bacteraemia: the results of an international ID-IRI study.

Objectives: Bacteraemia during the course of neutropenia is often fatal. We aimed to identify factors predicting mortality to have an insight into better clinical management.

Methods: The study has a prospective, observational design using pooled data from febrile neutropenia patients with bacteraemia in 41 centres in 16 countries.

Aims: In our study, the therapeutic potentials of two different IDO inhibitors (Epacadostat [EPA] and 1-methyl-L-tryptophan [L-1MT]) in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells were assessed with and without tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) stimulation.
