Background: The increasing geriatric population in India needs special attention from the oral health workforce. This study explores dental teachers' perceptions of the status of geriatric dentistry in the dental curriculum and the challenges of implementing geriatric dentistry curriculum in the present dental training sector in India from the trainers' (teachers) perspective.
Methods: We utilised a qualitative approach, and four focus group discussions were conducted with/among various levels of academic teachers-Heads of Departments (n = 8), Board of Study members (n = 7), Deans (n = 5), Lecturers and Associate professors (n = 8).

Virtual learning is a medium that can enhance students' understanding of a specific topic. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic provided an opportunity for dental education to shift from traditional learning to blended learning as it began to utilize technology to help students study effectively. In this study, we collaborated with experts in the field of dentistry to reach a consensus about which topics are appropriate to include in the virtual learning module about the biomechanics of tooth movement.

Introduction: Osteoporosis is described by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a 'progressive systemic skeletal disease characterized by low bone mass, microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue, a consequent increase in bone fragility, and susceptibility to fracture. The maxilla and mandible are also affected by osteoporotic changes and these may be visualized using an Orthopantomogram.
Aims And Objectives: To determine the radiomorphometric indices in the digital orthopantomograms, to determine the bone mineral density (BMD) of the lumbar spine and femur using DXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan, to compare the measured indices between the BMD categories and to assess the correlation of these indices with the measured BMD.

Introduction: Gonial angle measurements serve as an important parameter of the craniofacial complex and are usually studied on lateral cephalograms, but recently panoramic radiographs have also been used. The aim of this study is to measure the gonial angle using orthopantomogram and lateral cephalogram based on age, gender, ethnicity, and skeletal malocclusion in a tertiary care hospital.
Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study comprising 350 selected radiographs of apparently healthy individuals collected for a period of one year, from the Department of Oral Radiology of a tertiary care centre of Nepal.

Objectives: This clinical trial compared the efficacy of atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) sealants against resin-based sealants in terms of their retention and fissure caries preventive benefits over a period of 24 months among a section of school children in the Southern Indian state of Telangana.
Materials And Methods: A split mouth clinical trial employed 198 children, who received these sealants on their lower permanent first molars. Retention was assessed 6 monthly and caries annually STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: Chi-square tests were utilized to analyze the retention rate and the incidence of dental caries between the two groups.
Background: Stress and low psychological well-being among students in higher education impact their academic performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between SOC, SDLR, and academic performance in year 3, 4, and 5 undergraduate dental students.
Materials And Methods: Two hundred and ten students completed a validated questionnaire on SOC and SDLR.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the dental students' performance in ICDAS (International Caries Detection and Assessment System) coding with different levels of clinical experience.
Materials And Methods: Dental students ( = 122) in their clinical years, year 3 ( = 37), year 4 ( = 44), and year 5 ( = 41) received training (two-hour introductory lecture on ICDAS, followed by a 90 min e-learning video, and practice sessions using extracted teeth and photographs) from a calibrated expert. After training, the students examined a prevalidated set of extracted teeth and assigned scores in two sessions.

Materials And Methods: A case-control study was designed among 100 cases as patients with metabolic syndrome aged 35-74 years, and age- and sex-matched 100 controls as apparently healthy relatives or friends accompanying the cases visiting the diabetic outpatient department at Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, using convenience sampling method. Information related to diabetes, hypertension, and oral hygiene practices was collected.
