Introduction: The recent introduction of modern contraceptive methods in resource-limited countries is confronted with the occurrence of undesirable effects that hinder their use in the long term. This study conducted among the users of the Ivorian Association for Family Well-Being in Korhogo describes the libido-sexual problems associated with the discontinuation of injectable contraceptives in former users. The objective of the study was to identify the factors that led to the abandonment of injectable contraceptives among female users of the Ivorian Association for Family Well-Being in Korhogo between 2018 and 2019.

Peanut paste produced in multipurpose mills is very often the site of choice for fungal contaminants that pose a major risk to consumers. The objective of this study is to evaluate the level of fungal contamination of peanut paste produced according to different moulding processes during storage. Thirty samples of peanut paste were produced from 60 kg of peanut pods according to three types of moulding (domestic moulding, artisanal moulding, and hygienic moulding) and then preserved for three months.

Vermifiltration technology using could be an alternative low-cost option for the treatment of urban greywater, which is highly polluted with high concentrations of surfactants, sodium and cooking oil. In this study, the effects of these pollutants on performance of a vermifiltration system was tested over a period of 6 to 8 weeks by enriching raw greywater with various concentrations of anionic surfactants (0, 15, 45 and 135 mg/L), sodium (0, 1, 2 and 4 g/L) and refined palm cooking oil (0, 250 and 500 mg/L). The vermifilter system was made of gravel, sand and sawdust layers from the bottom to the top, on which 200 earthworms were added.

Background: Resistance of Plasmodium falciparum to anti-malarial drugs has hampered efforts to eradicate malaria. Recent reports of a decline in the prevalence of chloroquine-resistant P. falciparum in several countries, including Malawi and Zambia, is raising the hope of reintroducing chloroquine in the near future, ideally in combination with another anti-malarial drug for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria.
