Objective: The invasiveness of pituitary neuroendocrine tumor is an important basis for formulating individualized treatment plans and improving the prognosis of patients. Radiomics can predict invasiveness preoperatively. To investigate the value of multiparameter magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) radiomics in predicting pituitary neuroendocrine tumor invasion into the cavernous sinus (CS) before surgery.

Sagittal parameters, such as total thoracic kyphosis (TTK), thoracic kyphosis (TK), major thoracic kyphosis (MTK), and thoracolumbar kyphosis (TLK), are crucial indices for evaluating spinal alignment in AS patients and can reflect disease progression. This study aims to explore the relationship between bone mineral density (BMD), sagittal parameters, and joint ankylosis in AS patients.

Background/aims: This study assessed the long-term efficacy and safety of tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) in real-world settings.

Methods: Patients who were candidates for TAF treatment and were followed up at 12-week intervals over 192 weeks were enrolled in this study.

Results: One hundred and forty-four patients (50 treatment-naive and 94 treatment-experienced) were included in this study.

Methods: Eighty-two patients with pulmonary embolism were enrolled and randomly divided into standard CT angiography (SCTA) and dynamic CT angiography (DCTA). DCTA patients were divided into dynamic CT angiography arterial phase (DCTAa), time phase Angiography reconstruction (TMIP-CTA), and 4D noise reduction TMIP-CTA according to the image reconstruction.

CO2 field-flooding devices offer potential value for cardiopulmonary bypass procedures for CHD performed via a right-side small incision approach.

Objective: This study sought to evaluate the value of a CO field-flooding device in cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) surgical procedures for congenital heart disease (CHD) performed via a right-side small incision approach.

Methods: Between April 2022 and December 2023, 234 children with simple CHD who underwent CPB via a right-side small incision approach were separated into a control group (n = 93) without the use of a CO field-flooding device and a treatment group (n = 141) in which this device was added to the traditional surgical manual exhaust. Demographic, perioperative, arterial blood gas (ABG), and laboratory test data were then compared between these groups of patients.

Background: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and its related lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are commonly observed among aging males and have a substantial effect on quality of life. Metabolic syndrome, with a specific focus on obesity, is believed to play a role in the development of BPH. This study intends to explore the relationship between several obesity-related metrics, including the Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI), and LUTS/BPH within a national cohort of Chinese men.

Background: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a severe and progressive cardiovascular disease. While potential links between clonal hematopoiesis (CH) and cardiovascular diseases have been identified, the causal relationship between CH and PAH remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the causal effect of CH on the risk of PAH using a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach.

Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed data from 97 patients with FL diagnosed via histopathological examination between July 2012 and November 2023. Lesion segmentation was performed using LIFEx software, and radiomics features were extracted through the uAI Research Portal (uRP) platform, including first-order features, shape features, and texture features.

The unique association between estimated pulse wave velocity and the prevalence of diabetic kidney disease: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: Arteriosclerosis plays a significant role as one of the key pathological mechanisms underlying Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD). The estimated Pulse Wave Velocity (ePWV) is used to assess arteriosclerosis, and is considered a potential clinical surrogate for pulse wave velocity. There are no studies on ePWV in relation to DKD.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of non-electrocardiogram (ECG)-triggered chest low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) with a kV-independent reconstruction algorithm in assessing coronary artery calcification (CAC) degree and cardiovascular disease risk in patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis (MHD).

Methods: In total, 181 patients receiving MHD who needed chest CT and coronary artery calcium score (CACS) scannings sequentially underwent non-ECG-triggered, automated tube voltage selection, high-pitch chest LDCT with a kV-independent reconstruction algorithm and ECG-triggered standard CACS scannings. Then, the image quality, radiation doses, Agatston scores (ASs), and cardiac risk classifications of the two scans were compared.

Background And Purpose: Lobar intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is associated with a high risk of recurrence, particularly in elderly patients, where cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is often the primary cause. Diagnostic markers of CAA-related ICH, including subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and finger-like projection (FLP), have recently been developed. Here, we aimed to explore the associations between SAH, FLP and the risk of ICH recurrence in lobar ICH patients.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) on the development of depressive symptoms and to determine whether socioeconomic status (SES) moderates this effect. A total of 6,455 individual free from depressive symptoms were selected from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). CMDs and SES were self-reported.
