Robotic urologic surgery using the Toumai MT-1000 Endoscopic Surgical System: a single-center prospective analysis.

Background: The Toumai MT-1000 Endoscopic Surgical System is a newly developed surgical robot from China. This study evaluates its feasibility, safety, and effectiveness for various urologic procedures based on our single-center experience.

Methods: From October 2023 to January 2024, 20 urologic procedures were performed at Peking University First Hospital using the Toumai MT-1000 system.

This study analyzes the risk factors for poor healing and long-duration pain in the conservative treatment of rib fractures, providing a reference for clinicians in choosing conservative treatment and formulating treatment plans.

Objective: This study investigates the impact of preoperative fasting time on patients undergoing partial nephrectomy and analyzes the risk factors for postoperative hemorrhage to provide clinical reference for physicians treating patients undergoing partial nephrectomy.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 74 patients who underwent partial nephrectomy for renal tumors between January 2022 and March 2024. Baseline and perioperative data were collected.

The potential causal relationship between BMI, T1D, urolithiasis, and hydronephrosis in European ancestry: A Mendelian randomization analysis.

Body mass index (BMI), type 1 diabetes (T1D), urolithiasis, and hydronephrosis are interrelated. Our aim was to analyze their causal relationships at the genetic level. Mendelian randomization is an instrumental variable analysis method that follows Mendel genetic law of random allocation of parental alleles to offspring.

IL1RL2 is related to the expression and prognosis of bladder cancer.

IL1RL2 has been reported to be highly expressed in a variety of tumor types whereas its role in bladder cancer (BLCA) remains unclear. The aim of the present study was to explore the prognostic value of Il1RL2 in BLCA and its relationship with clinical pathological features. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was used to assess the levels of IL1RL2 expression in BLCA tissues and cells, which were validated by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting.

Comparison of nasojejunal nutrition and intravenous nutrition supplementation in patients with upper gastrointestinal tract strictures and analysis of risk factors for malnutrition.

This study examines the effectiveness of nasojejunal and intravenous nutrition in supplementing nutrition for patients with upper gastrointestinal (GI) strictures and analyzes the risk factors associated with malnutrition to provide references for clinical nutrition strategies. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 71 patients with upper GI strictures caused by esophageal and gastric cancers, who received nutritional support from January 2015 to January 2023. Out of these, 53 patients had complete baseline and follow-up data.

This study establishes a predictive model based on machine learning algorithms to forecast the occurrence of postoperative bleeding complications in patients with renal and upper ureteral stones undergoing lateral decubitus PCNL. We retrospectively collected data from 356 patients with renal stones and upper ureteral stones who underwent lateral decubitus PCNL in the Department of Urology at Peking University First Hospital-Miyun Hospital, between January 2015 and August 2022.

This study aimed to explore the risk factors for infection and bleeding after lateral decubitus percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures to prevent their occurrence and improve surgical outcomes. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 356 patients who underwent lateral decubitus percutaneous nephrolithotomy for the treatment of kidney stones and upper ureteral stones from January 2015 to August 2022. Among them, 290 patients had complete clinical data.

Analysis of the Efficacy and Risk Factors for Failure of Balloon Dilation for Benign Ureteral Stricture.

This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of balloon dilation in ureteral stricture and to analyze the risk factors for the failure of balloon dilation, which will hopefully provide some reference for clinicians to develop treatment plans. We retrospectively analyzed 196 patients who underwent balloon dilation between January 2012 and August 2022, 127 of whom had complete baseline and follow-up data. General clinical data, perioperative data, balloon parameters at the time of surgery, and follow-up results were collected from the patients.
