Chromatographic separation of the solid cultures of a deep-sea-derived fungus (MCCC 3A00308) resulted in the isolation of eight compounds. Their structures were identified on the basis of the spectroscopic data. Compounds 1-8 are classified as depsidone-type (1-4), isocoumarin-type (5 and 6), and benzothiazole-type (7 and 8), of which 1-7 are new compounds and 1-3 along with 5 and 6 are chlorinated.

Bioassay-guided fractionation of a coral-associated fungus LZDX-32-15 resulted in the isolation of eleven notoamide-type alkaloids, including four new congeners, namely notoamides W-Z (1-4). The structures of the new alkaloids were determined by extensive analyses of spectroscopic data (1D and 2D NMR, HRESIMS), while ECD data were used for the configurational assignment. Three alkaloids (6, 10, 11) exerted potent inhibition against a panel of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines with IC values ranging from 0.

Bioassay-guided fractionation and chromatographic separation of a sponge-derived fungus , resulted in the isolation of thirteen new polyesters namely hansforesters A-M (1-13), along with five known analogues involving ascotrichalactone A, ascotrichester B, 15G256π, 6-hydroxymellein, and (-)orthosporin. The structures of the new compounds were determined through extensive spectroscopic analysis, in addition to the chemical conversion for the configurational assignment. The polyesters incorporating the motifs of orsellinic acid, 2,4-dihydroxy-6-acetonylbenzoic acid, and orcinotriol were found from nature for the first time.
