Tebuconazole is a widely used fungicide for various crops that targets sterol 14-α-demethylase (CYP51) in fungi. However, attention has shifted to aromatase (CYP19) due to limited research indicating its reproductive impact on aquatic organisms. Herein, zebrafish were exposed to 0.

Driving natural killer cell-based cancer immunotherapy for cancer treatment: An arduous journey to promising ground.

Biomed Pharmacother

September 2023

Department of Pharmacy, Henan Provincial People's Hospital; People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, Henan 450003, China. Electronic address:

Immunotherapy represents one of the most effective strategies for cancer treatment. Recently, progress has been made in using natural killer (NK) cells for cancer therapy. NK cells can directly kill tumor cells without pre-sensitization and thus show promise in clinical applications, distinct from the use of T cells.

High temperature ferromagnetic metal: a Janus CrSSe monolayer.

Phys Chem Chem Phys

April 2023

Joint Center for Theoretical Physics (JCTP), Institute for Computational Materials Science, School of Physics and Electronics, Henan University, Kaifeng 475004, People's Republic of China.

Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnets are popular in fields such as spintronic devices, but their low Curie temperature () limits their practical application. In this work, by using a global optimization evolutionary algorithm and density functional theory method, a Janus CrSSe ferromagnetic monolayer was predicted systematically. Monte Carlo simulations show that the Curie temperature of the Janus CrSSe monolayer is about 272 K and can be adjusted to 496 K under a small tensile biaxial strain.

Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetic semiconductor (FMS) provides the ideal platform for the development of quantum information technology in nanoscale devices. However, most of them suffer from low Curie temperature and small magnetic anisotropic energy (MAE), severely limiting their practical application. In this work, by using first-principles calculations, we predicted two stable 2D materials, namely, CrSiTeand CrGeTemonolayers.

The complex and diverse microbial communities are closely related to human health, and the research of microbial communities plays an increasingly critical role in drug development and precision medicine. Identifying potential microbe-drug associations not only benefits drug discovery and clinical therapy, but also contributes to a better understanding of the mechanisms of action of microbes. Compared with the complexity and high cost of biological experiments, computational methods can quickly and efficiently predict potential microbe-drug associations, which could be a useful complement to experimental methods.

Shanghai Key Laboratory of Bio-Energy Crops, Research Center for Natural Products, Plant Science Center, School of Life Sciences, Shanghai University, Shanghai, China.

Diosgenin serves as an important precursor of most steroidal drugs in market. Cholesterol was previously deemed as a sterol origin leading to diosgenin biosynthesis. This study reports that cholesterol is not in parallel with diosgenin biosynthesis in .

Emotions are closely related to human behavior, family, and society. Changes in emotions can cause differences in electroencephalography (EEG) signals, which show different emotional states and are not easy to disguise. EEG-based emotion recognition has been widely used in human-computer interaction, medical diagnosis, military, and other fields.

Pervious concrete is considered to be porous concrete because of its pore structure and excellent permeability. In general, larger porosity will increase the permeability coefficient, but will significantly decrease the compressive strength. The effects of water-cement ratio, fiber types, and fiber content on the permeability coefficient, porosity, compressive strength, and flexural strength were investigated.
