Triple-negative Breast Cancer Arising in a Fibroadenoma in BRCA 1 Mutated Patient.

We describe the case of a 35-year-old woman who comes to our institute with a palpable lump on her left breast. Clinically the mass was mobile, nontender and with no nipple discharge. Sonography revealed a circumscribed, oval-shaped, and hypoechoic mass, suggestive of a benign lesion.

CT urography is a single term used to refer to different scanning protocols that can be applied for a number of clinical indications. If, on the one hand, this highlights the role of the radiologist in deciding the most suitable technique to perform according to the patient's needs, on the other hand, a certain confusion may arise due to the different technical and clinical variables that have to be taken into account. This has been well demonstrated by a previous work based on an online questionnaire administered to a population of Italian radiologists that brought out similarities as well as differences across the national country.

Glenoid bone loss in anterior shoulder dislocation: a multicentric study to assess the most reliable imaging method.

Purpose: The aim of this multicentric study was to assess which imaging method has the best inter-reader agreement for glenoid bone loss quantification in anterior shoulder instability. A further aim was to calculate the inter-method agreement comparing bilateral CT with unilateral CT and MR arthrography (MRA) with CT measurements. Finally, calculations were carried out to find the least time-consuming method.

Introduction And Objectives: Treatment of bulky lithiasis in continent and non-continent urine storage reservoirs has been widely described and debated (1). Less is known about the optimal treatment in patients with a Mitrofanoff conduit. If voiding in these patients is incomplete, leading to recurrent symptomatic bacteriuria, formation of large lithiasis can be a common long-term complication (2, 3).

Technical efficacy and safety of CT-guided transforaminal periradicular infiltration using CT foot switches and MPR images.

Purpose: To demonstrate the technical efficacy and safety of CT-guided transforaminal periradicular infiltration in the treatment of the radicular pain without surgical intervention, using CT foot switches and MPR images.

Materials And Methods: Four hundred and eighty two patients (286 males and 196 females, age range 27-71 years, mean age 56 years) with a unilateral or bilateral radiculopathy who underwent CT-guided transforaminal periradicular infiltration without surgical intervention, were retrospectively selected in the period from January 2019 to February 2020.  Patients who had received surgery for herniated disc or laminectomy, patients with a previous vertebral fractures, and patients with inflammatory syndrome or risk of bleeding were excluded.

Copper deficiency syndrome is an underestimated cause of posterior myelitis. We describe the case of a 41-year-old woman, who developed a subacute ataxic paraparesis associated with low back pain. Her 3T spine MRI showed a thin hyperintense FS-Echo T2 longitudinally extensive lesion involving the posterior columns of the cervical cord (from C2 to C6).

Herpes simplex virus encephalitis (HSE) is the most common cause of letal encephalitis and its prevalence appears higher among oncologic patients who undergo brain radiotherapy (RT). We describe a case of 76-year-old woman with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) who developed HSE shortly after brain RT. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis (CSF) was normal and the diagnosis was driven by brain MRI and EEG.

The difficult laparoscopic cholecystectomy remains a surgical challenge for surgeons who must decide between laparoscopic continuation and open conversion. Objective: To investigate CT morphologic and densitometric features and 18-FDG PET findings of surgically excised lung adenocarcinomas "mixed subtype" with predominant lepidic component, appearing as solid solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) on CT scan.

Materials And Methods: Approval for this study was given from each local institutional review board according to its retrospective nature. Nodules pathologically classified as lung adenocarcinoma mixed subtype with bronchioloalveolar otherwise lepidic predominant component, in three different Italian institutions (Napoli; Varese; Parma), were retrospectively selected.

A Case Report of Humeral Nail Breakage after 11 Years Secondary to Shaft Nonunion: Treatment with Autogenous Iliac Crest Bone Graft and Compression Plate.

Introduction: The rate of nonunion of operatively treated fractures of humeral shaft is low. Increased incidence of nonunion is associated with different conditions such as open fractures, bone loss, or fracture gapping. Nonunions after prior intramedullary nailing can be difficult to address, even more with hardware failure.

Complication of epiduroscopy: a brief review and case report.

Epiduroscopy is defined as a percutaneous, minimally invasive endoscopic investigation of the epidural space. Periduroscopy is currently used mainly as a diagnostic tool to directly visualize epidural adhesions in patients with failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS), and as a therapeutic action in patients with low back pain by accurately administering drugs, releasing inflammation, washing the epidural space, and mechanically releasing the scars displayed. Considering epiduroscopy a minimally invasive technique should not lead to underestimating its potential complications.
