Background And Study Aims: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a well-known risk factor of gastrointestinal angiectasia (GIA). The aim was to compare this population with CDK patients without GIA.
Methods: Patients followed in the Nephrology Department of Tenon Hospital for which an endoscopy was performed between 2012 and 2022 were identified.

Introduction: BK polyomavirus-associated nephropathy (BKPyVAN) is a significant complication in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs), associated with a higher level of plasmatic BK polyomavirus (BKPyV) replication and leading to poor graft survival.
Methods: We prospectively followed-up with 100 KTRs with various degrees of BKPyV reactivation (no BKPyV reactivation, BKPyV-DNAuria, BKPyV-DNAemia, and biopsy-proven BKPyVAN [bp-BKPyVAN], 25 patients per group) and evaluated BKPyV-specific T cell functionality and phenotype.
Results: We demonstrate that bp-BKPyVAN is associated with a loss of BKPyV-specific T cell proliferation, cytokine secretion, and cytotoxic capacities.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the association between different histological patterns and prognosis in patients with SSc and histologically proven muscle involvement.
Methods: A multicentre retrospective study was conducted of a cohort of scleroderma patients who had undergone muscle biopsy. The biopsies were reviewed in a coordinated manner to classify patients based on histological findings.

Background: Mycosis fungoides (MF) usually has an indolent course. However, some patients develop more aggressive disease and few prognostic parameters have been identified. Isolated cases of pustular MF (pMF) suggest an unfavourable prognosis.

Background: Nutrition is largely affected in bipolar disorder (BD), however, there is a lack of understanding on the relationship between dietary categories, BD, and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. The objective of this study is to examine dietary trends in BD and it is hypothesized that diets with increased consumption of seafood and high-fiber carbohydrates will be correlated to improved patient outcomes, and a lower frequency of metabolic syndrome.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study includes two French cohorts.

Unlabelled: Mucormycosis is a severe and emerging invasive fungal infection associated with high mortality rates. Early diagnosis is crucial for initiating specific antifungal treatment, with molecular tools currently representing the most efficient diagnostic approach. Presently, a standardized in-house real-time PCR method is widely employed for diagnosing mucormycosis.

Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) is frequent among patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) and can persist despite the optimal correction of respiratory events (apnea, hypopnea and respiratory efforts), using continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or mandibular advancement device. Symptoms like apathy and fatigue may be mistaken for EDS. In addition, EDS has multi-factorial origin, which makes its evaluation complex.

In this review, different aspects of the use of clinical neurophysiology techniques for the treatment of movement disorders are addressed. First of all, these techniques can be used to guide neuromodulation techniques or to perform therapeutic neuromodulation as such. Neuromodulation includes invasive techniques based on the surgical implantation of electrodes and a pulse generator, such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) or spinal cord stimulation (SCS) on the one hand, and non-invasive techniques aimed at modulating or even lesioning neural structures by transcranial application.

The prognosis of sickle cell disease (SCD) in adults is determined primarily by damage to targeted organs such as the brain. Cognitive dysfunction in SCD is a common chronic neurological manifestation, but studies remain mostly descriptive in adults. The objective of this study was to better characterize the cognitive profile and the association between cognitive dysfunction and brain lesions.

Invasive fungal infections have recently been recognized by the WHO as a major health, epidemiological, and economic issue. Their high mortality rates and the emergence of drug resistance have driven the development of new molecules, including olorofim, an antifungal belonging to a new family of compounds, the orotomides. A review was conducted on the PubMed database and the ClinicalTrials.

Background & Aims: The aim of this study was to assess the long-term effectiveness and safety of risankizumab maintenance treatment in a large real-world cohort of patients with Crohn's Disease (CD).
Methods: From May 2021 to August 2023, all consecutive patients with CD treated with risankizumab in 25 GETAID centers have been retrospectively included. The primary endpoint was steroid-free clinical remission (Harvey Bradshaw Index [HBI] <5) at 52 weeks.

Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL) is an Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-related neoplasm with male dominance and a poor prognosis. A better understanding of the genetic alterations and their functional roles in ENKTCL could help improve patient stratification and treatments. In this study, we performed a comprehensive genetic analysis of 178 ENKTCL cases to delineate the landscape of mutations, copy number alterations (CNA), and structural variations, identifying 34 driver genes including six previously unappreciated ones, namely, HLA-B, HLA-C, ROBO1, CD58, POT1, and MAP2K1.
