Introduction: is the most common uropathogen in humans, dogs and cats. Dietary consumption of cranberry () is known to be associated with a reduction in uropathogenic (UPEC) adhesion to human and canine urinary epithelial cell lines, but this has not been shown in cats.
Material And Methods: Six neutered domestic cats, one male and five females, were randomly fed three diets successively, one containing 0.

Background: Medulloblastoma (MB) is one of the most prevalent embryonal malignant brain tumors. Current classification organizes these tumors into four molecular subgroups (WNT, SHH, Group 3, and Group 4 MB). Recently, a comprehensive classification has been established, identifying numerous subtypes, some of which exhibit a poor prognosis.

Objective: The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the seasonal transmission pattern of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), challenging the launch of palivizumab immunization campaigns. This study explored the performance of the moving epidemic method (MEM) to guide the launch of such campaigns.
Methods: Data were collected through a continuous RSV surveillance system (07/2013‒03/2022) in Québec, Canada.

Introduction: The increase in the population of immunocompromised patients due to advances in management of end-stage diseases and transplants poses challenges in treating infections caused by multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens. Cefiderocol (FDC), a siderophore cephalosporin, has shown efficacy against carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria.
Methods: This retrospective multicentre study investigated the real-world use of FDC in 114 immunocompromised adults treated for MDR infections in 12 French hospitals (June 2020-November 2023).

This paper introduces a prognostic method called FLASH that addresses the problem of joint modeling of longitudinal data and censored durations when a large number of both longitudinal and time-independent features are available. In the literature, standard joint models are either of the shared random effect or joint latent class type. Combining ideas from both worlds and using appropriate regularization techniques, we define a new model with the ability to automatically identify significant prognostic longitudinal features in a high-dimensional context, which is of increasing importance in many areas such as personalized medicine or churn prediction.

Objective: To evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of maternal dissatisfaction 2 days after a singleton vaginal delivery at or near term.
Methods: We conducted a planned ancillary cohort study of the TRanexamic Acid for Preventing Postpartum Hemorrhage After Vaginal Delivery (TRAAP) randomized controlled trial. Maternal dissatisfaction, related to the birth and to the subsequent hospital stay, was assessed 2 days postpartum by two self-administered questions: "Are you satisfied with the care you received during your child's birth?" and "Are you satisfied with the care you have received during your hospital stay?".

A great deal of research has shown that health inequalities are the product of socially unequal wear and tear of bodies, socially differentiated use of the healthcare system and unequal access to care, as well as healthcare professionals' differentiating practices. However, public policies are rarely the focus of recent investigations on the production of health inequalities. How can public policies produce or even amplify health inequalities, but also reduce them, or fail to do so? This study aims to investigate the impact of online appointment booking on effective access to Covid-19 vaccination.

Objective: We aimed to assess the prevalence of clonal haematopoiesis (CH) in patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA) compared with controls and individuals with other autoimmune diseases (AIDs) and to identify high-risk clinical/genetic profiles that could influence disease outcomes.
Methods: In a prospective observational study at three hospitals, we included 49 patients diagnosed with GCA, 48 patients with other AIDs and 27 control participants. We used next-generation sequencing to detect clonal haematopoiesis (CH) among them.

Objective: This study aims to identify factors associated with depressive and anxious symptomatology in pregnant women hospitalized during the antepartum period in home care management (Hospitalisation à domicile).
Method: This is a quantitative, single-center, observational, and descriptive study that included all French-speaking women hospitalized in the HAD of AP-HP between September 2022 and February 2023. Anxious and depressive symptoms were assessed using the self-administered HADS (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) questionnaire.

Background And Objectives: Diagnosing ventriculostomy-related infection (VRI), a common complication after external ventricular drainage (EVD), is challenging and often associated with delayed initiation of antibiotic therapy. We aimed to develop a stewardship score to help in the decision of antibiotic therapy initiation when VRI is suspected.
Methods: This retrospective, single-center cohort study included patients admitted to the intensive care unit after EVD placement who were suspected of having healthcare-associated ventriculitis and/or meningitis between January 1, 2012, and August 31, 2022.

Objectives: The SIROLO study assessed the long-term effects and real-life management of oral sirolimus for SFVMs by investigating data from 15 French tertiary centres for vascular anomalies.

Background: endoscopic ear surgery in patients Chronic Otitis Media(COM) media with eardrum atelectasis.
Objective: to compare the postoperative outcomes and audiological results of the endoscopic approach versus the microscopic approach for treatment of COM media with eardrum atelectasis, using a randomized prospective model.
Methods: Sixty patients were consecutively enrolled in the study and randomized into two groups: Group A 32 patients underwent canal wall up tympanoplasty (CWA); Group B 28 patients underwent tympanoplasty with an exclusive trans-meatal endoscopic approach.

Purpose Of This Document: The Oncology Committee of the French Urology Association is proposing updated recommendations for the management of recurrent and/or metastatic prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: A systematic review of the literature from 2022 to 2024 was conducted by the CCAFU on the therapeutic management of recurrent PCa following local or metastatic treatment, assessing the references based on their level of evidence.
Results: Molecular imaging is the standard approach for assessing recurrence after local treatment and should not delay early salvage treatment.

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a rare condition following SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with intestinal manifestations. Genetic predisposition, including inborn errors of the OAS-RNAseL pathway, has been reported. We sequenced 154 MIS-C patients and utilized a novel statistical framework of gene burden analysis, "burdenMC," which identified an enrichment for rare predicted-deleterious variants in BTNL8 (OR = 4.

Background: Suboptimal treatment delays is known to impact prognosis of patients with cancer but optimal timing in specific subgroups remains poorly studied. This study aimed to analyze treatment delays in young women treated for a breast cancer (BC) on and its impact on their prognosis using French Nationwide Data.
Methods: Using the CAREPAT-YBC Cohort based on the French National Healthcare System Database, we analyzed disease-free survival (DFS) in 22,093 young women (18-45 years) who underwent either surgery-chemotherapy-radiotherapy pathway (adjuvant setting, 15,433 patients) or chemotherapy-surgery-radiotherapy pathway (neoadjuvant setting, 6660 patients), according to delays between the different pathways.

Introduction: Unilateral biportal endoscopy (UBE) is a minimally invasive surgical (MIS) technique utilized for lumbar decompression, which has recently gained popularity in Europe. We aimed to explore the value of sequential adaptive e-learning, followed by simulator-based hands-on training modules for UBE at the occasion of the 2024 EANS Young Neurosurgeons meeting.
Materials And Methods: An adaptive e-learning was designed by learning engineers (Area 9 Lyceum), based on theoretical content provided by two endoscopic spine surgeons.

The MTOR inhibitors have demonstrated antiviral properties, and prior non-randomized studies have suggested they may have a suppressive effect on BKPyV replication. Here, in this randomized, multicenter, controlled trial (BKEVER study), we sought to evaluate the impact of everolimus (EVR) in facilitating the clearance of BKPyV compared to simply reducing immunosuppression among kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). All together, 130 KTRs presenting with BKPyV DNAemia were randomized 1:1 into two groups.
